Lol, that pencil bag thing happened to me before... Some girl stole my pencil in middle school and put it down her shirt and told me to get it. I turned to the guy next to me and asked him to fetch it for me.
He said "OK!" so she ran away. I had to borrow a pencil for the next class, she did give me my pencil back later that day. I took it home and washed it.
Still not sure if she was interested in me, just wanted to poke fun of the "innocent guy", or just wanted to be closer friends.

But to avoid shutting down his ‘joke’ and being all awkward I would joking whine to my friends to get it back (y’know the whole “____ stoke my pencil case~”) which honestly looking back probably encouraged him to do it again. Middle school years were the worst in terms of cringe interactions...
