Well, he wasn't her bf. Didn't you read the last few chapters? He has been bullying, abusing and gaslighting her for years and then pressured her into a "relationship" in front of the whole class but she actually never accepted, the classmates sorta just decided they were together.

As chapter it was hard to read, I detest bullism and this was that, not toxic yandere love, kid is mental.

But knowing he will break for good made possible to go through it.
