I was never this bad, in my mind. In fact, the only relationship I ever had, I feel like I was pretty much never the initiator of sexual activity- my girlfriend was. Not that I didn't find her attractive, but she was hornier than I'd ever expected of a woman before (by the way, she had many partners before me, some even other women- one of her last partners wasn't even a boyfriend, but I also knew him from the same community I met her through and we were on good terms), and we did it more on her prompting than I felt an inclination towards, and otherwise we'd have nice chats. Shit, I remember even just sitting with her while she was in the bath and we'd simply talk (to be honest, I just want a girlfriend I can hang out with and do hobbies alongside, like watch shows, play games, etc... while also being affectionate and cuddly).

I'll also note she's the only person I ever talked to such an extent about my own fetishes. Even my close friends now only know so much about my tastes, and it pertains to what I found attractive about my ex and that's pretty much it. I pretty much never talked about my own sexual tastes in school- in fact, not sure I had much of a developed sexual interest quite at the time. Might have been either a side-effect of medication, or related to the reason I was taking medication in the first place (AuDHD, essentially). I didn't meet my ex until after I had spent a number of years away from the meds, and then I knew her as an acquaintance and sometimes friend for several years before we became a couple for only a few years.

Seriously, my life experiences make me think more and more that this author has absolutely no idea what the real world is actually like. It's a lot more varied than these boiled-down cultural stereotypes. I feel like girls and women are, on average, hornier than this guy realizes... they just aren't as prone to show it because society ostracizes the female slut. In turn, not all guys obsess over boobs, ass, and pussy every moment they breathe, but it's as if society expects us to be horny little shits that'll rape a woman if we get the chance.

These perceptions have been changing of late, though, but it's slow and/or varied in its acceptance, just like the variance in the thinking of men and women on sex.

As with most disagreements on social norms, it all depends on who you know. I've asked various women about this topic and what I've read and heard about women actually being secretly horny, but they genuinely swear that it's only the few that get talked about, or the ones on social media talking about sex the most. In their eyes, men are much hornier than they are, and they disagree with the idea that women consume just as much porn as men.

There's also studies that show that women tend to have a lot more stressors that prevent them from getting aroused. Not to mention all the stories of how they've had to fake getting an orgasm just to please their man. A good number of them don't even masturbate, simply because it doesn't arouse them and they get more aroused by an emotional connection with the other person.

So of course, the hornier women will spread the stories and narrative around much more widely, creating an illusion of prevalence from an actual minority, compared to all the other women who don't have much of anything to say on the matter.
