I am curious if with Tokio now hardening over with the baby, she is sleeping and won't wake up again and the item Maru has to administer to the "person who has the same face as him" is her in this dormant state to wake her up. Which means the baby given to her was not her baby and Maru is in fact her child who ended up escaping somehow, perhaps with Sawatari as we know the Sensei that Kiruko is looking for is possibly him in the present.

We still don't know who gave Maru the thing he has to administer to the person but they are most likely either one of the kids or one of the doctors in the present. I do have a feeling that Anzu was likely Mikura (the one who escorted Maru to have a bodyguard and was infecfted), the ages seem a little off but it isn't entirely impossible that it could have been her since she is one of the ones that got outside. We know Anzu got out with Taka so maybe Taka is someone we've seen before or is a man-eater in the present.

I really hope this little jock won't try to swim, thinking it's part of the test, when it's the damn ocean. On one hand, they got their first taste of freedom but they're not prepared at all for the outside. Never trust beach episodes in mangas like this! Chainsaw Man, AOT, and now this! T_T

There's something really fascinating about those kids getting flustered by the most basic things for us, like ground, roots, sea and cars. It puts in perspective just how selective their education was up to this point. It's not weird neither, since they were supposed to become somebody else's bodies when they grow up.

After reading up to the most recent chapter (59 at the time of writing) I still can't seem to figure out whether an additional fifth student went missing (as indicated by the teacher/vp) or not.
