I mean she could just be upfront with him. Obviously she isn't planning on killing him or anything, so just laying out what will happen (and maybe some white lies regarding the other guys' fates) would've led to a better outcome.

We're obviously heading to the reveal with the escape plan failing, and we know that things will end up happily (at least for our main pair), just your usual drama fare. This level of interpersonal relationship messups ain't nothing compared to a lot of the other romslop on the site.
