Regarding him not calling anyone, wasn't it made fairly clear in this chapter that he's just against the idea of "imposing" on people? Like, when she offers to help he refuses until she guilts him into going with her by implying that he's insulting her by refusing. It's probably partly due to his whole people-pleaser thing, but also that's actually kind of the standard mindset in Japan? Like, "not bothering people" is generally seen as a pretty important virtue. (Though he's obviously taking it a bit too far by setting himself up to die.)

Plus, it's a generic romcom adapted from a light novel that was probably adapted from a web novel. Did you expect a set-up that wasn't contrived?

I hope the art style gets better, or the story gets better, cause as is, this seems like 5/10 at best.

Story thus far seems lame cheap knockoff of something better.
Art style looks quite lazy, like weird body proportions, eyes as separated as there was an Atlantic sea between them, weirdo big fingers on some shots, weirdo enormous calves, knees on different levels cause of some "artistic" reason or something.
Plus the only small tits girl among the sisters seems to be the athletic tomboy one with kinda short hair, but then in some shots she seems to not be really that small either - so best case scenario there is one petanko enjoyer approved girl with a bit to short hair, and worst case scenario its a trio of big titied weirdos.
