You wait - the "obsessed with Komugi" phase of absorbing Nayu's mana only lasts for a single day, so come tomorrow everyone will be back to normal (in theory, at least). You could have also avoided this entirely by doing a slower rollout so that only a couple witches were in the obsession phase at any one time, but Nayu specifically requested to have things done this way because she preferred the idea of having to keep Komugi away from everyone for only one day over turning this into a "monster witch of the week" manga where she would have to fight off a new witch every day for months or even years.

doesn't seem like he agreed to the 'play' tho. like being cooped up in the building sure, but not being locked up and restrained. and i get that this scene may have been a jab at these yandere manga, but there's still the possibility the author is into this too.
