the childhood friend randomly brings up the store's real owners for the first time and asks for future plans in chapter 90 (!!) when the mc's mutual love interest is omnipotent lmao

can kinda hear the axe grinding in the background. but maybe i'm too pessimistic.

I mean, if the series can reach a conclusion that resolves all of its plot threads in a satisfying way, is that really so bad? I'm loving the ride, and if Moto's got a genuinely interesting direction to take it from here, I'd love to see it, but if not, I'd rather see it end on a high note than see it lose its heart trying to artificially extend its lifespan. At a certain point, it's less "getting the axe" and more "not becoming The Simpsons".

So out of curiosity, what does all the witches that got genius mp for a day go Beep on, if they don't have anyone they are in love with? I really thought this chapter would be Genius fighting off the hordes, and next chapter would address all the people who had no target of affection (and possibly address some witches that developed affection for komugi). But instead this chapter was after even that, wrapping up the entire comet arc?

Good question! I suspect they might have their own passions or loves directed at things other than another person. We don't really know exactly how it all works, so don't sweat the details too much! 😄 I'm sure they'll be fine if it ever becomes an issue worth bringing up, considering the light-hearted nature of the series.
