While this is apparently this artist's debut work, I could propose looking through the volume extras to see if there's any call-outs for them as an assistant -- that might be an explanation for that feeling of similarity.

On anilist the mangaka is listed to be an assistant ilustrator for "Mission: Yozakura Family"

For debut it's hella good, but usually publisher don't believe author first work and usually only going for short. Like the pattern usually is

1. First work author intro to Industry, usually short series for 15-30 chapter
2. Second or third work and having more experience so starting to work bigger series
