War makes sense and kind of, not. Normally a war wouldn't genocide a species, as that would include slaughtering every single child, women and elderly. And if that is actually the case, these sisters should have the motivation of either vengeance against whoever did that or towards repopulating their species.
And just a sidenote, but Elves aren't always just laid back and chillin' in the woods, right? It depends on the story. In some literature, Elves are more of a custodian race, protecting some seal or other of some Demon or otherwise having some other important function.
In Lord of the Rings, which is where the first elves came from I think, they were a bit of both, while they also went to war over one of the important trinkets the dwarves(or the Dragon) had.
It feels like these Elves were incredibly contrivedly thrown into this manga just for the sake of having Elves in it, and then this stuff happened to them so they would be bound to our Goblin MC (because maybe normally Elves would never associate with goblins? Although that itself would have been more interesting; Elves that don't like the Goblins but choose to stick around because the MC is showing his good side over the course of the story)
To begin with, I never liked how "easygoing" the MC is. He just goes along with everything and forgives the humans regardless of what they do.. He even imprisoned a fellow gob who only murdered a human in self defense. I wonder if he would've done the same so easily if it was someone he actually cared about. He probably doesn't care much about a Goblin dying since he's used to seeing them die left and right due to their short life span.
