@Archomp I mean its fully possible to write a good story with an OP protagonist. Thats what any good Hulk or Superman story is. Its not about struggle against enemies or anything like that but about the simpler things that are actually the more difficult things. That being said most of these stories go for the baseline wish fulfillment which i imagine is where your problems lie.

@Gandalfr I am thinking more of " I said I want a slow life" as it has similar theme with the manga "make my abilities average" as both where both misunderstood due to differing definition of "average" or in this case "slow life"

You can certainly die from overworking, but that's not "cause of death". "Cause of death" is the term for official documents, and can't state that "man died from performing certain action on his job". Instead, it states what kind of body failure resulted in his death, not about "what caused that body failure"

First red flag is the god taking the Japanese perspective, of apologizing for something you did to yourself, the second is when they don't bat an eye when you ask for a slow life. If they don't try to warn you about dangers, or tell you that it might not work out, then they are probably about to troll you.

@deerafl Well, there's a little known author wrote an obscure novel by the title of Alice in Wonderland. Not many people heard of it, but there's also a work known as Peter Pan. But they both have female protagonist so you can see why they never became popular.
