that's cool and all. But you really expect me to believe two powerhouses on opposite sides of a war wouldn't have at least a little hated for each other? Like, I get respecting each other's strength and character beyond their respective affiliations, but when your buddies are out there either being killed by your rival, or getting killed because of the tactical advantage created by your rival, or when your hands are tied by your rival preventing you from saving them. Like there's gonna be some resentment right? You wouldn't be able to stop yourself. And if there's isn't, then that's just a hugely wasted opportunity for drama and a powerful plot, character development, and relationship development device. I mean... I guess the author could surprise me and show some emotional spaghetti in flashbacks later, but it doesn't look like it's going that way. What a waste.
