@Sichiruka,
Oh my, thanks for the compliment and appreciation~
Didn't think my random perspectives/thoughts on some fictional topics could be helpful to someone in that way. I'm glad you got something good out of that. It's a good feeling to know that I indirectly helped someone in some way albeit unintentionally and unexpectedly, so thanks for letting me know and giving me such a moment of good feelings. You're generous and thoughtful to even consider doing that despite it being such a small indirect matter that I think most people wouldn't bother expressing their compliment and/or appreciation.
All the best to you on your creative writing journey and have fun. Cheers! 😄🥂

I don't know. I feel like realistic self-reflection, accurately being able to judge a situation, and foreplanning all make the mark of an adult personality.
Dude's got the hormonal balance of a kid and the metabolism of a kid though. That's his physical situation.

Well, another isekai in which MC is a soyboy
At least don't use the personality that comes for default in every bad shounen, it's as if all those MCs were the same person, just drawn different

"We're shivering in backalleys not knowing what we'll eat tomorrow. I can't afford to wait for this someday" she says to the guy looking to hire her today.

Let me get this straight, instead of trying to better your life by getting-idk-a job, you'd rather sit in the backalleys and commit crimes that would have most people lose their hands if not their heads or in your case be enslaved.

Sure, blame the upper class for everything why don't you.

@Phelix Pretty sure that even with her salary she wouldn't be able to keep the kids safe. She would have to spend the majority of her day working at his estate. She could check up on them every once in a while, but not frequently. If she gives them money for food, the kids will just get robbed. Ultimately a basic work proposition doesn't benefit her, unless she can also get the kids off the streets. If she can do that I'm sure she would be happy with just about anything. Pretty sure the stuff earlier with he shit talking nobles is just out of frustration with nobility. She doesn't care to protect the pigs sitting on their asses for minimum wage. Of course our MC is different but she doesn't know the guy so there is no reason for her to trust him blindly.

@Podi125 When you say "Ultimately, basic work doesn't benefit her unless she can get the kids off the street" you're wrong. Just because it isn't the perfect solution doesn't mean it isn't the better solution than the current solution. The important part is that this source of income doesn't run her into trouble with the law, which means that's one less organized group-and the most important one in the area-that she runs the risk of getting into trouble with. Can't really feed the children if you're thrown in prison, lose your hands, or are executed for stealing a loath of bread. But what you can do is teach the children to look out for themselves, and funnily enough, necessity tends to make people mature faster. She can hold on to the money herself and just send groceries their way if she's afraid for them, sooner or later, she can start teaching them to carry the money as well. Life's not fair, but you make what you can out of it.

I'm fine with her shit talking the nobility.

I'm not fine with author allowing her bullshit to go unchallenged.

Beggars can't be Choosers, people in her shoes don't have the luxury to sit around and say "I'm worth more than pocket change". They either get off their ass and work to make themselves a better life at the given opportunity, or they spiral into becoming the scum of society that blames everyone but themselves. She doesn't have to know that the MC is a nice guy, she just needs to understand that he will pay. It doesn't need to be the end of all her financial problems, it just has to ease her struggles.

@Phelix That's a fair point, but considering that she is involved with a group of slavers, the second she leaves the children are prime targets. Maybe if they completely crushed the group or if they tried to crack down on slavery the city would become much safer, thus making this proposition more beneficial. I'm assuming that her goal is primarily to protect the children from harm rather than to keep them fed. Considering that the biggest threat is still there, I see a fairly significant risk factor. Not saying that keeping them fed isn't a risk factor, but the existence of hostile slavers takes precedence in my mind. And regarding the looking out for yourself bit, they look pretty sheltered considering we only see her stealing. That should be expected because of their age, so assuming they can take care of themselves is just illogical. I'm aware many children at that age are street smart due to how they were raised, but that is mainly due to high levels of exposure. These kids haven't been exposed, they have been sheltered. Right now they simply cannot survive without her. So giving them money and dumping them isn't a valid solution. Whether or not it is better depends on your perspective. Either find out the kids got sold into slavery or end up getting imprisoned after stealing from the wrong person. Both options are pretty fucking shitty ngl.

Ok this is just ridiculous. Yes, I understand that she's angry at nobles but any kid at 3 years old wouldn't exactly be able to get much done given that they're you know 3 YEARS OLD!

Like can you wait to give your little speech when he's at least 10 or something. Of course he's taking advantage of his living situation. That's kids in a nutshell. I don't expect any child who lives in a good environment to think beyond themselves until they get older.

And it's not like he chose to be a noble. He was born into it! So maybe wait until he screws up to treat him like the nobles that have actually done something to you! Geez!

@Lonewonder08 she's saying it's his fault basically when he's literally been alive for 3 years. No child is "good or bad" at that age.

He basically just won the lottery for who he gets born to and that's somehow his fault. I could understand if he was at least fifteen or twelve (whenever a person is considered an adult in this world) but I can't expect even a noble child to have enough knowledge at the age of three to affect the economy in a positive way.
