So the whole trip out was calculate to gauge the kind of person he was--so that's why she also gave him credit, to see how they'd react, whether something like this would be perceived as out of character or what Ars normally would do. okay. As far as the street vendors go, it may have been a quick resolution but it was a pretty smart and realistic one if you ask me. And as far as the conflict between the MC and FL go, this is much better than dragging it on for 100s of chapters, though yeah the author could've made a bit more drama and plot out of it I guess. Well, it's still a trash isekai, even if it feels to me like it's one of the better trashy ones, what can you expect?

yeah no she is mad sus, and if she's genuine here, then I hate her character, but if this is lying to fool him, then it's excellent setup. "A woman's ambition," There is so much to unpack from that wording. She isn't a woman, she's a little kid, and if this manga has any balls at all she may not even see herself as a girl. That much ambition and political know how? She very well might want to attach herself to a powerful man as a means to an end, because that may be her only viable path to power in the society she lives in, and mc has just revealed himself as talented at gauging people's talents with gauging intentions. Easy to manipulate and still useful. If this were a josei manga she'd deffo have such motivation and she'd be the protagonist and we'd see more into her head. Time will tell if she's really as shallow as she presents herself here or if she'd just gonna be a hollow shell telling the protag how great and noble he is.
