Yeah, your translation is good, but this plot is becoming staler than month-old gravy. I don’t get Japanese power fantasy.

The dude has the power to solve problems in an instant. He could simply capture and/or eliminate everyone involved on his own, but no, he always leaves openings for problems to escalate.
If he wanted to do the king's job for him, he would have accepted the king's offer of taking his throne.
And that would have been a fine manga too. About him making numerous reforms, recruiting a harem of super-capable people, and leading an army of mecha into the final battle.
But this is not this kind of manga. In this manga, humans will solve human problems, and only when they fail will gods like the MC step in.

No, the issue is that overpowered characters have two choices. Either act as a tyrant or hide their power and ease themselves into society in a stable manner. Would you willingly bow down to such a person? Especially if you've never met them before in your life and you have some political or social power of your own. Serf folk and such may do so because it doesn't matter to them who's in charge, but noble or merchant classes, or entire polity in a modern country, would refuse at least at first. And who do they put in front to protect their interests? Said serf folk or citizens of course.

An overpowered character can break up all of those, defeat entire armies and make it known to all that it is useless to oppose them. But then they're just a hated tyrant, even if its not in line with their real ego.

This is why series like Overlord have it so much easier. The MC is a tyrant. It doesn't matter what they do, and the series can focus on other things.

The King and others have all been slowly making in-roads to letting Cain take over in a peaceful way eventually. That's why Teles is his first fiancé in the first place. Now you can paint that as dragging stuff out, but I think it's still interesting and entertaining. As long as you don't keep asking yourself why he's regular Superman instead of Injustice Superman.

Glad there's at least some people reading this manga who understand this. Cain is isn't a tyrant who forces his will on anyone who gets in his way. He respects the regular human authorities in charge.
