He can do ex heal which cured even incurable poison. But it did seem like he was in a rush to do that and was running out of time, so I think fully reviving the dead, may be just a bit beyond him for now.

Which would make sense since the founder of the country wasn’t able to bring his parents back from the dead and he was probably at about cain s current power level.
Assuming he just hadn't thought about it as a spell. Though, as I recall, Anos Voldigoad (アノス・ヴォルディゴード)'s spell had a time restriction. Speaking of resurrection spells, I was actually quite disappointed in the anime adaptation of Skeleton Knight in Another World (骸骨騎士様、只今異世界へお出掛け中, Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekake-chū) because in the comic, Arc (アーク, Āku) / Arc Lalatoya (アーク・ララトイア, Āku Raratoia) didn't merely heal the Princess, he raised the dead of the entire group. It was WAY TOO OP, and he was like, "SHIT! I guess I ought to not do that or risk overturning the balance of the world." Like... DON'T NERF THE MC FROM THE COMIC! LOL. Kinda reminds me of what happened with the film adaptation of the Battle of Helm's Deep. Peter Jackson was all, "This is too unrealistic." So, rather than a group fending off 4k Uruk Hai, they instead gave them a battalion of high elves... ROFL. DUDE! YOU CAN'T THEN HAVE THE BATTLE RESULT IN SAID ELVES GETTING SLAUGHTERED! ROFL. Like, the most UNBELIEVABLE thing in that film was all the elves getting swatted like flies. Like, sure, it made for an emotional sequence, which I thoroughly approve of! But, at the same time, you friggin' nerfed the crap out of elves! -sigh- Like, if we went off the books, that battle would have been an orc bloodbath. Over in possibly MINUTES. ROFL. Wall of arrows takes down 1k+ orcs in a single volley. Every uruk hai gets a fatality strike with the arrow through the eye sockets. LOL.

So, I admit that I'm a TAD skeptical when it comes to nuking power levels.

Still, what better way to teach three "demon generals/kings" that they are no match for the twink teen than experiencing the Anos Voldigoad "reeducation" plan?! LOL.

Please, hold while we spawn insta-kill followed by res. Fractured sanity for the win.

I mean, they didn't even annihilate their bodies. Just sever their heads. Honestly, I'm rather surprised that actually killed them. Aren't they supposed to be able to regenerate like crazy? I'd think that just beheading them wouldn't do much since with that "kid's" powers, they could just pick-up and reattach their head like some kind of headless horseman/Dullahan?

Did they debuff skeleton knight? It’s been a bit since I watched it but it looked like resurrection when I watched the anime, or at least implied resurrection

as for nerfing here, I’ve been told Cain is way more willing to kill in the LN than in manga. ( And he’s basically a joke in the anime) so that does explain why he’s suddenly willing to kill here when he usually just incapacities. Though I guess they did have evil god powers activated so he didn’t really have a choice.

and as for them actually dying, usually cutting off the head is enough even for highly regenerative beings. Isnt the old zombie adage that you have to remove the head or destroy the brain?

What I remember is that in the comic, he resurrected the ENTIRE army. In the anime, it was just the Princess. It broke my immersion because it was more something I'd imagine seeing in Overlord vs ze hero in ze story. It was weird. Like, it had major implications. I'd need to go back and check, but I remember being PISSED when it happened. Like, I distinctly remember ALL of the soldiers being like, "WTFJH?!" cuz they were resurrected from the dead, and they all assumed it was an act of divine intervention, hence the whole, "I better not do that in the future." It had a LOT more impact because it showed that he didn't view the princess/noble as being superior. Each and every soldier he saw as a fully human person worthy of life. The anime made him seem calculating in a way I'd expect of Overlord, but even he wasn't THAT calculating most of the time [unless he had to be to keep up the front of being an evil overlord. LOL.].

So, I guess I should correct my previous statement there. Yes, I believe he did resurrect the Princess, but he didn't resurrect the whole unit/army. In the comic [not sure about the LN], the whole army got re-spawned XD. That's why it was viewed as such a miracle for her and her people, and so screwed over

her nii-chan's evil plots.

At least, that's what I remember.

Well, I have several case examples from both comics and anime that demonstrate otherwise. My immediate thought was to Korean leveling comics. Certain pain in the ass adversaries in several Japanese comics fit this bill too. Anos Voldigoad (アノス・ヴォルディゴード) from Maou Gakuin for reincarnation stories [not necessarily him, though also not necessarily NOT him either], and Cell & Buu for battle manga. So it isn't unheard of. Usually, energy beings like deities tend not to be killed simply by decapitation.
As for zombies, it depends. Some zombies can be killed just bashing their skull. Others require decapitation. Others require the destruction of their brain or the entirety of their body with fire or holy magic. Hmm... [thinking] another option is Dullahan. Like, Dullahan are higher ranking undead/unseely fae that are immune to beheading. Some might argue that to become a Dullahan requires the act of beheading for the final transformation. As for this deity, I feel like an evil deity would simply reattach the head/Keep talking and cackling while taunting the MC.

There's an anime currently broadcasting [it's being internationally syndicated via Crunchyroll (makes rude gesture towards Sony)] that has a similar circumstance where a character becomes impervious to attacks. I won't spoil it, but effectively, it fits well with the motif here, IMO. I'm not saying that they should be immortal or anything, but I feel like given the whole principle is embodying this evil deity and letting them inhabit their body would be a little more impressive than this. And that's not to dis Cain. No! Far from it! It's just that this went too easy if these "crystals" are to be believed. Likewise, you'd think that a demon king would provide a FAR more capable host body than the pudgy evil aristocrat. heh. I mean, unless it is the depravity and corruption in their heart that determines the quantity of power that they have. Though, if that were the case, it should be noted by someone [ideally, the gods]. At least, TMO.

I'm just talking about the time it'll take to kill Ignis. People have been raising flags constantly in this thread.
Don 't mind me. I was being snarky. =P People like to whine and shat on comics for "various 'reasons'", and so when given the opportunity to "share a little snarkasm", I take it upon myself to "spread the joy". Sorry for any unintended confusion on my part. :3
