He has created that world that they are currently staying in for the training.
So why should he not be able to revert back the MC's body to a younger age when the MC leaves that world?

Also why should anyone worry about him?
1. In case you forgot everyone knows that he defeated a dragon by himself on his way to the capital.
As advised by the people around him he put it on display at his welcoming party in his mansion in the capital that he got.
2. He got appointed to be a baron himself and is living in his own mansion - with just servants for now.
3. Also he has become an adventurer recently and even had his rank upgraded A rank.

So why should they ever worry about him?
They probably think that he has gone on some exploration or quest that takes him a while due to maybe location or searching for the location.

at this point the time skip seems like the author saw this in another story and wanted to do it, without really understanding why. Maybe they did an outline of what they had and then had to add more?

What was that, "It's fine to die here" line.

He's lonely and depressed from not having any emotional connection for A WHOLE YEAR.

COVID made people go nuts from staying at home for just a few months. Most people broke lockdown to see friends in only a month.

This protagonist, had no emotional contact... for a year. All fighting... all surviving.

@nuriawan26 nope, in the original novel it's handled the same way, and just like in dragonball, you don't tell the whole year training in the time and space chamber since that's a way to kill the pace of the story.
