Can we just get on with the actual story? I'm sick of story explaining the story to explain the story with breaks of new characters repeating the explanation of the story while everyone sits and does nothing to continue the story.

I'm think the mangaka trying to dial down Cain's power a bit for enemy. From what I remembered he completely one shot him during his first encounter at least. But I would enjoy him one shotting him in different ways for comedic entertainment.

I have yet to be convinced that the big-bad deity of "entertainment" is not in fact the secret final romantic interest and actually, secretly, a girl. Cuz, you know, the way this series has rolled, I'm at least 90% confident that he's a she, and she's secretly the last conquest route for our romeo here. -evil chuckle- Legit. FIGHT ME!~

Seriously, though, it fits with the overall plot. EVERY girl be like a prospective romantic interest, and "young ambiguous dude who you never get a full look at in a genre that could TOTALLY bait us with a TRAP, I've called it for a while now, but I'm still in "Arlong is probably a chick." And if not... who knows? ROFL. This series might bait us that way and reveal that the reason Arlong has been such a troll is cuz they a bratty bottom needing a soft-touch. ROFL. OK, seriously, that's an unlikely twist, but I'd be here for it. I don't discriminate!~ That said, Unckie, you don't have much room to talk considering he's basically your nephew/godson -yeah, I just realized the ironic metaphor of having a deity as your godparent. Now, regarding the BIG QUESTION regarding "time". Well, how long do demons actually live for? Like, I don't know if we actually got that specified. Like, do they have normal, mortal lifespans or are they like elves and hella old? Someone fill us in cuz my brain is load-rotted from too many comics. I'd need to reread 75 chapters to answer that for myself, assuming the answer is even in the comic, and not cursedly relegated to the novels.

If someone can get us details on HOW LONG DO DEMONS/DEVILS LIVE & HOW OLD ARE ALL THE ONES PRESENT?! WE MIGHT GET SOMEWHERE ON THIS QUESTION...

From reading older chapters:

The empire itself exist since before the evil god fragments (1000+ years)

But currently Lis and her brother are the only children of the imperial lineage, and the brother seem to be the one in charge of things suggesting their parents might be dead.
EDIT: Current demon emperor is in coma, thus why the prince is in charge.

So I think it's simply the demon world is such a hostile/war-filled place that each generation of Demon Emperor doesn't last for long (either retire once the next generation outclass them or killed in some conflict)

And this assumes idiot humans and other races weren't trying to invade, alongside monsters, Arlong's minions, etc.

Also, do we know when exactly Arlong went MIA? Cuz, I got the impression that all went down 300 years ago, hence his sealing. Maybe, there's some editorial bumbling going down? [Don't worry. Not blaming our GREAT AND POWERFUL -CHYAN!~ YOU DOING GREAT@!! THANK YOU!!! More wondering if in the conversion from novel to manga, SOMEBODY in management screwed up something and failed to proof. Like, assuming they even have sufficient staff to do such things in this dystopian age and all. -heh-

It's a real hate read for me... I liked the first... dunno 10 chapters although the powerscaling was through the roof and now I only read in hope it gets better. Why must every female in this manga be a love interest although Cain has near no personality? And no interest in love itself? He can't even say no to them approaching him... an the evil god is the most interesting and the most frustrating plot point. The Marquis must've been the strongest among him and the demon kings, since he could resist Arlong the longest and harness the power of the evil god the best - ye makes absolutely sense... Now I can finally drop this
