Yes is following it to a degree some changes here and there, new additions, but yeah it doesn't match with the start because the adaptation start pretty late into the WN, like Arc 5 / chapter 96ish

This is a huge deviation from the novel, you see. There was never anything this brutal in the web novel, it's the mangaka's twisted hobby. If the web novel author has a fetish, I'd say it's gokkun.

103 is roughly where we're at in the web novel.

The way this part went in the web novel, was, Sei was the only carrier, and they set up camp without incident after an easy fight, taking turns taking watch. A whore Sei slept with told him keeping watch was unusual, and sure enough, when switching shifts, each of the three girls with Sei was hit on, which was breaking Sei and the girl’s agreement with the male party. So the parties just split up the following morning.

Manga started from 5 volume of WN. Also this porter girl wasn't in the novel. They simply cooperated a bit and parted ways after some disagreement (other party tried to recruit the girls, but they refused).
