im really hoping that phil would at least demonstrate an example of how it is created or something... this is a weird kind of "op"ness... i prefer action opness than not common sense in that world mind blowingness... im still enjoying it tho >,>

The number of people in this thread that think this is regular isekai BS, instead of referencing real world beliefs/myths, is saddening.

Still, Is a fucking Rainbow, You can see those on any source of water that is falling or simply with the rain or others very common water related things.

Spirits maybe, But, Gods...

That is pushing it to far.

Not really, and spirits not really that far from gods. Didn't you saw how garden folks deify spirit lady of the MC?
They are part of the nature force, and closest thing to the god. So, just think about that they might think that size of the rainbow comes from the power and hierarchy of the gods etc

In the next chapter we will learn what exactly they think about rainbow in details, but i can say something right now for sure. There is NO WAY that they would think that microscopic water droplets "levitate" through the air, and there is no way that they know about light dispersion, it's still not the time for them.
The only thing that they can actually assume, that rainbow have connection with "water", like rain or watersource. Sure, but does it make any less divine? Nope.
Water is miracle of life on their own right, and gods using water and rain to build a god bridge from the light itself, that can't be "touched" by the resident of the mortal world. Small rainbow can be also described as "covert actions" of gods that want to play pranks etc.

It's not pushing too far, you just trying to assume things based on relatively"new" knowledge that their world isn't supposed to have. You yourself wouldn't say "it's just a rainbow" too, if you wouldn't convenietly knew beforehand how it's produced.

Just saying, our own mythology also have tons of rainbow "interpretations", it's quite unfair to just brush it off like it's nothing that big and they are fools, when "law" that created it actually quite complicated.

@Zael well... yes, he is in a sense but his aim is have a lazy life with a good wife a fluffy bed and pet (said in the first chapter), be called something like "god's emissary" or in other religious way will make his dream only impossible... putting aside that I don't remember him encounter a god or something similar

Ooh I like where this is going!

Maybe Rainbow's aren't naturally occurring in that world, like they are in ours? It is another world afterall.

Even if rainbows appear naturally, people may not know exactly why (other than there needing to be rain or storms or some such). The idea of refraction and whatnot is a fairly new concept in human history. So maybe people thing gods make rainbows, so if he can make one.... well...

for those that do not know
many mythos and legends speak of rainbows as a bridge which the gods use to travel between the celestial realm and the mortal realm
so calling it the bridge of gods is actually a correct term in a medieval fantasy setting

No men, Is way to far, Even if they are so retarded, The event is to common to not be known, And even if there is an associetion to a deity, Is still to much to pull off.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, I just think that the author should have think of other way to put it.

I laugh my ass off about it, But, yeah...

we also have a lot of rainbow related myths in our world, like the bifrost from norse mythology, leprechaun and their gold, izanami and izanagi descended in a bridge of rainbow, etc
non-scientific people calling rainbow as something divine is nothing weird
