Almost all grains for human consumption have been modified over thousands of generations to be more palatable and more productive. The distinction between grain and grass is this cultivation. The wild ancestor of any grain is basically just grass. There are exceptions such as quinoa, but guess what, quinoa looks and tastes pretty much like grass seed.
There is a plant related to rice called "wild rice" but it's actually more expensive than rice because each plant produces only a tiny amount of grain.
