It actually did contribute a fair amount, because it's what gave her a much more mature personality than her age, and had her using otherworld knowledge to compare against what was being done. It was also part of the whole setup for why she was to be murdered.
Yeah, adapting to blindness using reincarnated composure and experience changes a lot about how they act compared to a newborn. So removing the blindness also removes a chunk of the reason to be an isekai story.

That sounds like getting a dark blessing is "bad", and that light blessing is "stronger" so it overwrites the dark blessing.

That's a bad look, in multiple ways. Why does light blessing not change the skin color for everyone else, if it can reverse the effect from darkness?
theyre gods (or were they spirits) of the same rank (i think it was spirit king). essentially the light spirit's blessing's side effect cancelled the dark spirit's blessing's side effect and she became the color she would have been if the dark spirit king hadnt blessed her.

the reason why the light spirit queen's blessing didnt change the other people's skin color was cause they were already white.

in that series being blessed by the dark spirit king was viewed as bad cause
someone in the past with said blessing was called the demon king and caused alot of destruction and the kingdom almost was destroyed. that caused a stigma about the blessing and people thought she would also become evil so they shunned her. it was less dark skin = evil/bad and more dark spirit contractor = bad/evil. the dark skin just made it easy for people to find out who was contracted with him

remember she was reincarnated with her past memories, just because she now blind five year old does not mean she would not remember things she know from her past life.
Missed that completely. Thx.

Can't say I didn't expect it to happen eventually. Kind of upset the premise is gone since I really liked the idea, but she's kind of had pseudo-vision with her magic this whole time, so it's not like she was ever really 100% blind anyways. Ah well, got to go through a year's worth of chapters IRL before it happened, so I'm fine with it. Definitely happy for her at least.

Just to comment on it since I see a lot of people talking about that one villainess manga in this thread, I feel like a lot of readers of that one ignored the fact that that protagonist hated that people who scorned her were treating her better, as her dark hair/skin combo was one of the main reasons people irrationally hated on her. While it may have been a questionable choice, it did serve a bit of narrative purpose, but whatever. That story's ended now anyways, so it doesn't really matter.

Holy shit I didn't expect so many people to be upset that a blind little girl can now see.
That's a pretty shallow, and arguably a purposely instigating, interpretation. The very premise that made this more on the unique side of isekai, even if only one defining characteristic, was that the MC is blind. Then, a meager fourteen chapters in that has been tossed out? That's the issue we have. It feels like lazy writing that the author can't stick to it longer.

She got blessed by the Mr Beast. So anyway i hope this is temporary.
So the whole gimmick is now gone? Is it gonna be like that manga where the mc has blessing of dark spirit so she has darker skin color. Later she got another blessing from light spirit then her skin turned white and the manga end not much longer after that.
You missed the part where everyone freaked out and the manga decided to just keep her dark skin, which meant that the rest of the story couldn't even be properly played out, cuz now nothing changed. Which is the main reason why the manga crashed and burned, because you can't change something so big in the original story and then just follow it like nothing changed.

There was also that villainess isekai where the the female lead had dark skin

and then the gods made her white as a "blessing"
Keep in mind. The novel version don't have a problem. It was during a manga version that literally cause controversy and they have to redo it to stick with the original skin color.

that quite literally can be added with out been isekai... it's already a fantasy setting in a world with magic and gifts from the gods... also the isekai part is so unnecessary that it was just so quickly casually just mentioned and just as quickly disregarded...

As a reminder, the title "Blind Girl Isekai" is not an accurate translation of the original, but it has a similar meaning. "I was reincarnated as a blind little girl - I will survive by relying on magic and the memories of my previous life" is a more accurate translation. It's not like "Blind Girl Isekai" where a title like that will always assume that she will be blind, but the original meaning at least suggests that her blindness will last much, MUCH longer than 14 chapters. However, I get the feeling that this is temporary and not completely permanent yet. Still, it's a pretty awesome moment seeing her finally have a chance to know what everyone looks like.

were already white.
But asians are yellow. Europeans are still whiter than japanese.

I'd call that a yellow flag. Not really something outrageous, but paired with it not really working as a story development it doesn't seem like a wise move.

Thanks for the translation!

Let's be honest here, did no one not see that coming? What else was she going to get through that blessing lol

Series takes place in a European type setting like all villainess series do

treat fictional characters as if they were a real person
It's called human empathy. I won't be snide, though I am tempted.

Recognizing the break between fiction and reality is important. Yes, this is there.
But there is also the danger of (excessively?) enjoying the suffering of others -- real or not.
Sociopathy (DSM IV definition) extends past reality to fictional situations.

There's an old movie called "The Thirteenth Floor" that explores this idea.
Or, any book by Isaac Asimov that explores the nature of robotics.
"Blade Runner" further explored this with idea of "Voight-Kampff test".

I will just say if this is what FMC wished for I'm glad. And I look forward to her character growth.

Ffs, what about you just kill him already? Oh wait, that will never happend because he will 100% be the love interest of one of these 3 girls, just like it is in every single other series with an enemy that shows up multiple times…

I'm like 99% sure it's gonna be resolved by them going to save/help/rescue his sister Mitsu, since he seems to be being blackmailed. Tends to be how this kind of stuff goes, it's the more dangerous option but the morally correct one.

On another note, it's occurred to me that "The 'Rainbow Eyes of Blessing' that sees through both falsehood and truth" seem awfully convenient in this situation where we're interrogating someone. Will be shocked if it doesn't come up, honestly.

Just gonna play devil's advocate, but there's really only so much you can do with a protagonist that can't always see, it limits their autonomy, and I'm pretty sure that being blind doesn't have any sort of secret advantages, even if she did have the spatial awareness magic.
Also, and i know this is gonna sound stupid, would you go up to a real-life person who had just been cured of their blindness and start complaining that losing their blindness "hurts [their] narrative"? No, you fucking wouldn't, you goobers, you would celebrate their recovery from a purely detrimental ailment.
There is always somebody, who can't see the difference between fiction and reality...
And said limitation, it actually make things more interesting. Character need to overcome it somehow; because of it, he always have a disadvantage. That gimmick for readers like fire for moths. Stories like Zatoichi worked by that reason.
