Yeah, she seems weirdly attached to her "family" for someone who was isekai'd. She barley knows them and is already talking about throwing her life away for them like what. It would make sense if it was intended to just be a fantasy.Oh right! She's actually isekaied! Silly me!
Ahem...
Sarcasm aside, I've noticed this trend more and more with isekai stories, and those with gender bending, where those two aspects are barely explored, if not become entirely irrelevant after the first chapter.
Like "Oh! I'm a girl now in a different world. I guess it's fine. Moving on..."
As if it was pushed on the authors who just wanted to do a simple fantasy story.
Still. The art is very cute and the story enjoyable.
Same I hate that, like "Genderswapped Medic's Battlefield Diary" Her formerly being a man has had 0 impact on the story, and without reading the synopsis again I wouldn't even remember she was a former pro fps player, and I'm not even sure the Isekai itself has had any relevance at all.Oh right! She's actually isekaied! Silly me!

That was the thing ever since isekai became a trend years ago.I've noticed this trend more and more with isekai stories, and those with gender bending, where those two aspects are barely explored, if not become entirely irrelevant after the first chapter.
I regard it as thought experiment. Character was put in a world to see what would happen, and it turns out nothing matters before Great War."Genderswapped Medic's Battlefield Diary"
Usually if a noble's guard failed so horribly at doing their job they wouldn't only be put to the axe, their family could possibly be executed too.thanks for chapter
wtf those guards, I know they have to highlight MC but still
it was explained she hired them based on their looks, not their competencyUsually if a noble's guard failed so horribly at doing their job they wouldn't only be put to the axe, their family could possibly be executed too.
Chapter 7, page 26. Monica is an idiot who heard that special prey would be brought, and instead of bringing competent guards, brought the guards she had selected who looked good but were useless. This is also why they couldn't keep up with Yumie's running; their job is just to look pretty.wtf those guards, I know they have to highlight MC but still
I don't think Monica will do anything like that since she knows exactly what she hired them for and she's the one who chose to bring them, overruling her maid's advice. (That maid seemed to have a head on her shoulder, but she really should have informed the actual head of the house.)Usually if a noble's guard failed so horribly at doing their job they wouldn't only be put to the axe, their family could possibly be executed too.
It was a bit shocking, but I wouldn't say that it doesn't make any sense. Yumie's memories are the ones that are strongest in her, so she probably remembers how she starved before her father brought her in even if it meant discord in his family. She knows that they had to make sacrifices to welcome her so she's willing to do the same.Yeah, she seems weirdly attached to her "family" for someone who was isekai'd. That only holds true if Monica survives, if she were to die there's no way her father would let them keep their heads, let alone what would happen if any of the other noble kids were to die.I don't think Monica will do anything like that since she knows exactly what she hired them for and she's the one who chose to bring them, overruling her maid's advice.
