Because one chapter wouldn't spoil a thing? it's not ignoring the story when i just casually look how it looks and what kind of characters there are . i like to see what kinda thing it became (if it's already on far chapter ) or will become when it's still kinda new. everyone have they own way of looking if it's gonna be potentially ok to read or a big no.

yes one chapter can spoil alot like a big plot twist reveal or finding out who the spy or that character anyone who actually read said theoretical story got invested in dies losing any motivation to care about said character and yes everyone has there own way of doing things but like putting knifes in a draw with the blades sticking towards you (actual thing iv seen done) some ways are just plain stupid.
