Because nothing is as convincing of perfection as screaming "I'm perfect" while getting piledrived into HellHe died claiming he's perfect just like cell.

Chill the fuck down. Go back a few chapters and notice that his fragments only absorbed mechas and avoided or spat out humans. He mostly stalled for time for his fight with Lloyd but killed no one. The plot mentions this behaviour. He is messed up though, that is true. And he did hurt, not killed as he has their cores intact, those two robots. But he does care for Ido and wants him to return to Lloyd instead of running away. He also wants to die without blaming Ido for his already approaching death. So the feeling here that everyone feels is pity and it is totally justified. How can any of you fall for this bs.
Tartaros was a villain for a reason. You cannot just forget all the shit he did because "He tried to do good, for the wrong reasons! He was misunderstood!"
As fucking if he was. Tartaros is not a misunderstood victim, he's a psycho that tried to both please his master, and his own ego, by extending his life span; at the immense cost of life of everyone else. He does NOT deserve anyone giving a shit about him.
At least the Chimera-Pope had the decency of admitting he was a villain, and continuing on to serve the world as some form of penance for all of his evil bullshit (which even then, the former pope got off immensely easy given the sheer amount of suffering he inflicted on people for his plans, but at least it's better than trying to paint him as a misunderstood victim.)

Nor did I ever think that the most feels I'd get would be from the perfectingly gooey tentacle creature arc.I have never thought that a reincarnation manga with a caked up shota as the MC would give me the feels.
like this one where you miss the point why people are sad over tartaros even tho he is clear villain...The only reason nobody died, is because they were stronger than he thought, and plot convenience.
i.e: the author is not going to actually kill anyone in this sort of story like that.
Tartaros destroyed half a country, but he's the victim? Anime tinted glasses galore.
He did it his wayHe died claiming he's perfect just like cell.
