How can any of you fall for this bs.
Tartaros was a villain for a reason. You cannot just forget all the shit he did because "He tried to do good, for the wrong reasons! He was misunderstood!"
As fucking if he was. Tartaros is not a misunderstood victim, he's a psycho that tried to both please his master, and his own ego, by extending his life span; at the immense cost of life of everyone else. He does NOT deserve anyone giving a shit about him.

At least the Chimera-Pope had the decency of admitting he was a villain, and continuing on to serve the world as some form of penance for all of his evil bullshit (which even then, the former pope got off immensely easy given the sheer amount of suffering he inflicted on people for his plans, but at least it's better than trying to paint him as a misunderstood victim.)

I think everyone is aware of what he did. I think Pity is more apt description for how I personally feel about the guy, he was definitely not going to achieve his goals while Lloyd was around anyways. And Ido was attached to him (despite everything) so most of it would be for Ido.

The question is, did anyone really die or get badly hurt from all the stuff he directly did?

Most of the Damage that was done were by his Fragments who had their own Independent Personality and weren't controlled by Tartarus.

I mean, if you find fault at Tartarus for whatever the Fragments did, then by extension Ydd/Ido is at fault as well for whatever Tartarus & his Fragments did because it created Tartarus, and then at Lloyd because he created Ydd/Ido.

Why not?
Evil characters can still be liked, if the reason for them being evil is interesting.
Since when are morally good characters the only ones we're supposed to root for?

Like =/= sympathize with, or root for.
You can enjoy an evil character, but feeling "sad" for Tartaros is being short sighted. Just because it had an emotional scene, it doesn't change a whole arc of being a terrible person. And if you feel like "Tartaros deserves better", you should ask the same for all the people he massively fucked over, and potentially killed, if he deserves better.

Here's an extreme example: Would you be sad for Ted Bundy if he had an emotional flashback to his childhood? That's being led a bit too easily.
That being said, this is of course a gag manga, so we can't be taking it that seriously. It just triggered a memory of watching anime as a kid, where nothing really happened, no matter what any character has done. It occurred to me how oddly morally and societally lenient these type of stories tend to be.
