unfortunately he has a deadline as the hero Irusia declared that the cat demi-human (Nina) will be executed at noon on the next day as a heretic/cultist that summon the plague dragon(Irusia). within that time, he has been levelling like crazy by fighting the beam crazy centipede and raiding 2 desert ant colonies.

Woah, I'm surprised the hero just dropped the "use the citizens as meat shields" strategy immediately. I guess he at least doesn't want to be seen actively grabbing people and using them to tanks hits.

I would have thought the stat difference would give Ourobouros an advantage, but he's fairly cautious and also passive (he doesn't have a plan to take down the hero) while the hero is using his skills decisively and clearly is a more experienced fighter - at least in terms of dealing with intelligent creatures.

He's also trying to prevent collateral damage and is aware he's in a "accidentally destroyed an entire city" level of power scaling. That likely means he can't act freely in this context: new body, urban area.

He's also mainly fought monsters so far, who tend to rely on whatever their innate abilities and traits are while often having larger bodies if they are more dangerous. Human combat seems to be more about skills, buffs, and tactics, so they're more unpredictable until you see what they're attempting. The hero is instead in his element with dragon slaying. He would likely have a harder time fighting a clone of himself than most monsters, despite knowing all his abilities and tactics.

I'm 100% certain the "hero" has killed and straight out murdered far more people than monsters. But probably the monsters were tougher opponents. He seems to particularly like to murder people who can't do much to fight back.

Yeah, slaughtering homeless doesn't make you specialized in human to human combat. Though it's possible they do use him against foreign countries in wars as well. We don't know a lot about how government functions in this world, but, as the fantasy not-Catholics, these guys don't seem like they'd be friendly to countries with a different state religion.

It's a mistranslation, 'ハイレスト' (Hairesuto > High Resto-) is an abbreviation of 'High Restore/Restoration'. If you've played JRPGs before, you may have encountered a healing skills called 'Restore' and 'Full Restore'.

Healing magic in term of human properly needs something like faith or religion to be used as magic.

but for monster in term of animal don't have that.
they only need a rest if they are got injured or regenerate health.

so high rest magic much more make sense to monster like him as heal magic.
