Basically since this village is in the middle of nowhere + has nothing special nobody really stay here, so once the heroes leave to go leveling the inn will likely be shutdown and the girl sold off.
So Eris make contact and ask if she want to join the demon instead.

That said

Ricola do eventually join the demon side, far more willingly than her sister.

As long as he can later provide them with a better future, I can support him.

I guess...I just have a hard time considering these to be happier endings when they're basically having their personalities overwritten. I guess it comes down to "would you rather live a tragic life as yourself or be happy but possessed forever?"

I didn't say it WAS an happier ending, I said "as long as he can later provide a happier ending". Alice is already onto a better fate but it's not the same for the other girls. He's going to have to work to get them a ending better than what they originally would have had.

And yeah, the only people who will choose the former option you said is a stubborn fool, with an emphasis on the fool part. Giving up a part of me to avoid a set tragic life? That doesn't even need consideration, even less if that tragic life includes my loved ones.

Yes, I've had things influence my behavior, mostly my own mistakes. However, we're not taking about simple influence here. These characters are literally being possessed against their wills. We've seen visual representation, multiple times, of the magic corrupting and possessing them. None of them wanted anything to do with this, never consented to it, but are having their entire will overwritten until it's no longer them. Sure, some semblance of their personality remains, but we actively see that it's the magic in control, not them, and that their original senses of self are pretty much dead or dying. That's a very far cry from merely making a change in your life from outside influence.

As for choosing to stay on path to a tragic life, that's not something she'll ever get. MC hasn't informed anyone of the future and it's doubtful he will. There is actually a possibility that, if he were to inform them of the grim futures awaiting them, he wouldn't need to resort to mind control as they would join willingly, but this doesn't seem to be that kind of series. The name of the game here is non-consentual, so this entire conversation is kind of a moot point, as he's going to continue mind controlling them, regardless.

Nah, on point for me. If you're asking what's the point of living? Then my answer will always be "Then why not choose death?" If that answer is too excessive....then don't ask the question to begin with. Death cures all! Even fools.....sometimes. So....watch your words, I'll always choose the worst ones to answer to it with. But that's just my SLIGHT sadistic tendencies...

Ah out of order but that's simply a matter of perspective (answer to the first paragraph). People thoughtlessly letting others influence them is no different than possession in my eyes. Even more so when it's something you normally wouldn't agree too. And I still stand by my words, a better life is a better life....the girls here have changed by from what we see their personality hasn't really changed. And it feels like that possession acts like an internal influence and not actively forcing the girls to act a certain way. It does reward them with a pleasurable feeling when they obey though. I still see it as a no-brainer to choose the non-tragic path.

So, another bug? Probably something that causes a character to become invisible if the event trigger is activated outside of the zone it's supposed to take place in, thus preventing the proper sprites from loading. And it seems like it also forced his dialog to match his character's canon personality. Otherwise he likely wouldn't have said "eliminate" the heroes. MC as he is would probably say something more like "Defeat/Incapacitate the heroes, but don't kill them."
