@1llegalz ? Season 2 is on the way, dude. The anime doesn't adapt the manga, it adapts the LN. We're getting season 2 in 2 cours and we were supposed to get the first cour this October but due to the pandemic it was delayed to next January.

That's incorrect. The anime is mainly an adaptation of the manga, but also uses elements of the LN. For that reason the anime will at most "catch up" with the manga, but it will never go beyond it because at this stage the manga makes more money than the LN and the LN publisher "Micomagazine" is a rather small publisher, so they agreed to rely on the manga publisher "Kodansha" and the anime producer "Bandai" to carry most of the production costs for the anime.
Since what matters is not how far the manga got when the anime starts airing, but rather how far the manga got when the final episodes of the anime season air, the manga should have enough time to finish LN vol. 6 events by the time the anime ends, especially now that the delay gave an additional 3 releases, meaning the manga now has 13 more chapter releases until it needs to be done with LN vol. 6, which is definitely enough time to do that.

@GreyZone Why of manga? Manga is an adaptation of LN and so is the anime since it came first. The story is exactly the same as well.

@Gakamis
Usually it's as you say, but Slime is quite special, you see. The Slime manga is infact the best-selling manga adaptation of a Light Novel to have ever existed and I am not exaggerating here. Add to that the fact that the LN publisher of Slime never had any of their works be turned into an anime yet, especially not on their own (the series that will have that role will be Kenja no Deshi instead), so to make sure that such a gold mine of success as Slime does not get butchered, the manga publisher Kodansha took it upon themselves to produce and finance the Slime anime instead, though they got helped by Bandai among whom a big-shot really enjoys the manga and hence wanted to see it animated himself.

Anyways, it's a fact that the manga is the main "source material" of the anime. If you look at the Slime Anime homepage's staff section on https://www.ten-sura.com/anime/tensura/staffcast then you'll see 川上泰樹 (Taiki Kawakmi) as the first name under "original creators", which is the manga artist, followed by 伏瀬 (Fuse) the author and みっつばー (Mitz Vah) the LN illustrator and character designer, and underneath those three names it says 『転生したらスライムだった件』(講談社「月刊少年シリウス」連載) which means "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (serialized in Kodansha's 'Monthly Shounen Sirius')" which is where the monthly manga chapter RAWs, that we scanlate for you here, come from. If the source material was the LN, it'd leave out the manga artist or put him at third place of the creators, and it'd also say "serialized by Micromagazine" or "serialized under the GC Novels label" instead.

Man, power levels are getting way out of hand. And we haven't seen best girl interact with Rimu in like 50 chapters. Feels a waste to be introduced so early to become a mind-controlled puppet to overcome.

I was hoping this wouldn't fall into the trap of other isekai's where they have to make every villain unbelievable strong because the writer decided to make the MC OP. (If Tempest wasn't there, how would the human's even survive the Orc Disaster if not for one of the demon lords taking pity on them )

Also, the world-building is falling apart quite a bit. We are told there are 10 demon lords, all of them with the power of a nuclear bomb (or close to it). So what are they doing? Apart from Clayman, nothing as far as we are told. None of the nations is under attack, neither are they mention to be anywhere. How would the nations not be aware that a majority of the Fullam countries forces left the nation? That's like one of the main purposes of a diplomats/spies.

The story was the strongest when Rimu was starting out and figuring out how to lead his village/deal with the problems that come with managing low intelligence monsters.

@boogle You're under the presumption that the Demon Lords actually care about their counterparts or what happens to the territories other than their own (if they even hold one, afair not all of them have territories). That's the reason the Walpurgis banquet is summoned (see last chapter), to actually have them together and discuss things.
You're exagerating the amount of time Millim has interacted with Rimuru, nor are you correct about the motivation of the writer of current relationship.
And no, the humans can't do much, it was established early on that the Demon Lords are existences far above them. The only ones having some power are the church and the Eastern empire, but that's a whole other story...

Just relax, what is coming is actually stuff to be very excited about and some of my favorite parts of the LN's ;)

@JohnFuckingWick rest be assured, he's the strongest of every single character as of now. Hell, it took more than half a chapter to just present his OP-ness, he can even use an upgraded version of the Hero's sealing, not to say reincarnation, infinite healing?, and other stuff from the past.

@Lxminous, I think you underestimate their strength. At the moment, he is nowhere near as strong as Milim or Veldora. If he enters a 1v1 battle, then he will lose 100%. In addition, from this time period Veldora can easily destroy Uriel's barrier, so it will not be possible to seal it. And on Milim this hardly works. In addition, there is one demon-lord who is even stronger than Milim and Veldora. So Rimuru is nowhere near as strong as it might seem.

Guys big question.
In the end of the chapter Rimuru says that they got recognized by another human country referring to the duke of the Sarion Dynasty.
If I recall correctly tho weren’t they elves?

@WRY1 this arc is completely different in the WN. Just read the LN if you want to go further.. LN vol 6 to be specific.
