Yeah the fights are kind of disappointing. I know a lot of people tune into this series for heavy action and stakes, which is understandable if you didn't like Walpurgis for what it was hyped up to be.

To me, this series was always about slice of life, fluffy city-country building, and some political intrigue. All building up to one slime's quest to creating world peace. I came for the slime making friends with a dragon, saving and teaching goblins how to live in a society, making amends with former enemies to create a place to live together, etc. etc. On that end, the series has always delivered spectacularly.
