I cant't really get over that the dad is looking for midwife only after she's is going to deliver? And he actually even failed. What the f. . .

Even when she/he planned for dad to fail so grandpa can save the day. At leas the author can make the process not this dum man.

My father married young, and doesn't have much education. Yet even he know that you are supposed to prepare. Smh, it's childbirth.. not some random accident. When the 9th month come, he already consult this and that to his mother, ask neighbor to check around or stay when he isn't home, and run around to make sure doctor would be around and he can get her fast when the time come. This is around 80s, so when i said run around he actually run around. The nearest clinic is around 4km away.

He may have been looking for the whole while but found no one able or willing to help. Then his son decided it was now time to come out during an extremely terrible weather where it’s even more unlikely for someone to leave their home to help
