I'm slightly confused by the translation, but if I understand correctly the guildmaster is Marissa's grandfather, and it's his son and his son's wife who has an issue with Marissa adopting another child. Marissa did call him grandpa earlier, but Millie also called him grandpa instead of great-grandpa. I also understand better what was said in the previous chapter; so there never was an issue with Marissa's grandpa from the guild, but with Marissa's parents running the Roseretta trading company.

It's a bit odd that the guildmaster son's decision would dictate his behaviour towards his granddaughter. He's the elder and still working in a position of authority so he is independent and should have been able to overrule his son's decision or at least ignore it for himself.

It's funny seeing he has some sort of ninja, with magical stealth powers, working for him who claims to have taken the necessary steps to push Marissa's family into registering their recipes. The one who suggested this was the prince, who also has someone working for him and monitoring the place... And all the ninja was doing was apparently being a customer at the inn, or maybe they did more.

I'm not sure what the guildmaster means when he says Millie is a ticking time bomb since there are several elements. There's the recipes (and the disrupting knowledge behind them), with the wealth that comes with them, that have already attracted the prince's attention and the jealousy of rival inns. There's the large amount of magic that could be dangerous. There's the unknown origins, large magic and original hair colour (though I'm not sure he knows about that since millie had no visible hair as a baby and was kept hidden as a child), that suggest she is a noble's child which may also become a source of trouble.

it seens like grandpa only care about his blood, so i can't see him liking mc, at least for now. Anyway the way he is stalking her is indeed weird after all if he knows that she is pregnant it means that he is probably stalking her really hard since i don't think that a normal customer have this information

so it's not the grandpa they have a bad relationship with, but the father.

....except that from MC's perspective, this is actually about the grandpa and GREAT grandfather, making this a 4 generation conflict. Damn great grandpa be looking good for his age. Or maybe they all just had kids early.

i think that he knows about her hair, the way that he is stalking them i doubt it is as a simple costumer, after all he knows that Marissa is pregnant and i don't think that every costumer know about this

It's rather interesting that grandpa had spy to spy on the family and yet was unaware of the corruptions right under his nose.

Ok so from my understanding:

Gramps is Marisa's dad

Marisa's family unanimously dislike joe

Most of Marisa's family didn't agree with adopting Millie, while gramps was ok with it as long as Marisa is happy

Ticking time bomb, he says.

Not antagonizing her would be a great way to make sure she doesn't detonate, y'know.

The translation felt a bit less polished than before, with a lot of those multi-bubble speech bubbles just reiterating what was said in the previous sentence.

A ticking time bomb can be set off by anyone, not just him and his organization. Also, Gramps knows that if something were to happen to Marisa, his daughter would be very sad

Omg thanks for clarifying that he's great grandpa cuz i was hella confused.
Also i agree. If she doesn't have anything against mc being adopted, why must he cut contact.
He values hus position more? Then he's no different then the rest of the fam.
We just gonna forgive him since his a fool for his grandaughter?
And the pure hatred dad was giving before disappeared just like that?
