I'm pretty sure that villains in this manga will always be absurdly evil. Right from the beginning, her parents were special cases of scumbags (and you also mentioned the corrupt guild member) so the writing was on the wall.

Just caught up. I had my doubts, but this is pretty good. Eventually, she's probably going to have to drop bodies, or reclaim her birthright, or some other drama. Right now, I'm just enjoying family time at the inn.

... Of course, that evil fat bastard can be the exception casualty.
