Is there mayonnaise yet? Or maybe as you said, it is stuffed with cheese.
Maybe ketchup?
My first guess was, it was stuffed, but the way she said she would cast a spell and the picture of them cooking, makes it seem like a seasoning.

Tbh when she said she was gonna cast a spell I imagined the classic "moe moe kyun" pose...

Based on page 19, I was thinking, oh that's totally going to be a curry, that's potatoes. But from Page 20, that big pot, made me think demi-glace sauce. A really hard thing to try to make from memory, and still doable ingredient wise.

@Miserys_End is probably right, curry is an expensive thing to source, if you don't have all the spices on hand. They only barely have chocolate, from a literal royal person. And the smell of curry would probably be everywhere from constant experiments. (though again, they have magic.)
Cheese would be an option, but that doesn't fit the kitchen scenes.
Menchi-katsu would also be easy, since they've done hamburg steaks.
Same for a katsu sando, would be a great takeout dish for them, though.
Nor would Eggs for a katsudon, really simple to do, if you have the katsudon down pat, and easy rice. But this is an isekai, so Rice is going to be a journey to get.

Man... now I'm hungry.

Some kind of sauce would make sense, though I'm unsure why two experienced cooks would blowup their kitchen during its production. Maybe they tried to cheat with a makeshift pressure cooker...

Eggs are kind of iffy. Not saying that fantasy settings don't have animals capable of producing lots of eggs, but mass production is more of a supply chain issue. Not only do you have to feed and house a large number of animals, but you also need to be able to store and distribute the many small, fragile, and perishable eggs on their way to market and into customer homes and or businesses.

then again, when has the realities of life stopped an author or mangaka from pushing thrue a plot point by just hand waving away such troubles xD

They already did eggs in Chapter 4, with the tonkatsu breading, so sourcing it, isn't a huge problem for this society.

I think that makeshift devastation scene, is from them eating bad sauce literally everyday for months. So them just dying from the constant eating of bad food.
