Greetings XuN Scans, I truly appreciate the hard work and effort your team has been putting into this manga. However, I wanted to kindly point out that on page 10 (excluding the Scan's info page), there appears to be a missing text that was accidentally omitted on the lower left:
僕がこの町に来たことを軍はすぐに知る
(The military will soon find out that I’m in this town.)

Updated the chapter, thanks for pointing this out.

The human dude was a wizard. No wizard would be so easily confined and forced to work for the military :/

One thing about having the power of a god, but just trying to "enjoy" the world (not intervene with mortal affairs), is that you're still subject to people's whims and all the ugly tendencies of mortal affairs. Returning to the continent Aesir is seeing a very different place than what he left. One in widespread conflict and a powerkeg about to explode. And none of it is a threat to him but it is to those he cares about and he also doesn't see it as his place to turn the world on its head.
What the hell did Kaushman get up to in the last few decades that just ASKING about him gets Aesir put on a hitlist?
Probably nothing much. His designs for magic tools just became a military weapon and the military very realistically doesn't want this information getting out to "enemy states" so they control it. Still incredibly sad for Aesir.

I feel sorry for the guy but at the same time it's actually the best way to deal with things. The guy might've already passed on(if he didn't come up with some formula or technology to live longer) and instead of crying and grieving over his passing he's getting all giddy about his work while he was alive. Celebrate.:glee:

You say that as if the dude didn't live in a country full of powerful wizards with a military full of wizards. Other countries specializes in stuff like fishing, smithing, agriculture, etc. His country specializes in magic! Dude may have been the foremost expert on magic tool research, but he's still one in a million and no match against all of them.

Page 13: Ah, the classic Joestar family technique.

Oh hey the elf dude who was Kaushman's bro and partner is crime came back to us!
What do we do? Should we give him VIP treatment? Try to turn him to our side? Him working with Kaushman is the reason why our military might is so great now!
Hmmm... Nah let's fucking kill him instead
They probably didn't know he was the guy who literally helped jump-start their magic weapon development five(?) decades ago. The manga didn't show Aesir giving that clerk his name, just him asking about Kaushman's pupils.

It was probably afterwards, when they did some investigating, that they connected the name on his travel info to the name of Kaushman's first apprentice.

Even then, an old apprentice showing up just when war's starting? That's probably too suspicious for people trying to protect a state secret.
