1. Protagonist did you forget that you were heading West to check on your son? Not...not to learn sculpting? Have you gone completely elf-brained while in the forest?! This is going to be like Faraway Paladin: "When an elf takes ten years to get to a meeting that's not just a joke." or something.

2. "That's one interpretation" -- But could you kindly elaborate on whether it's the right one elf grandpa? Because oml did the MC actually check a box on the: "It's time to burn the world and start over" list? lmao
his stand is basically, he will be right there if his son request his help. Else, he will takes time to show up and hope the son can resolve this by himself. He is way too powerful right now to insert himself between any of this, Aesir can basically solo a dragon by himself (if he asked for all the spirit nearby to help him)

note: there are multiple dragons

They need spirit walkietalkies or something cause how is he even going to hear from his son at point? Dude wanders around so much and only stays in a place for a decade or so

Thanks for the tl

So, for the record. As per legend the phoenix flies the elves away when the dragon goes scorched earth on, er... well the earth. So Aesir basically fastforwarded ragnarok by maybe a few decades at best making thr egg hatch in three years.

Aesir really takes it easy, not as easy as the average high elf but still...

Considering that the end of the lifespan of his first regular elf friend is already in sight, I wonder how long his son still has left.
But Aesir seems to move in the opposite direction entirely.

Surprisingly the other continent doesn't entice him.

Welcome to prophecy, the only thing you know is it's guaranteed to happen. Good luck guessing when.

It's also why some characters try to cheese it by intentionally do something that fit the prophesized event in hope that they won't have it happen to them later (it still happen to them later)

Once again, masterfully written chapter. God I love this manga. The elf-pacing of time is just so wonderful to see done. There are so many mangas with elves that still abide by the human pacing of time that it just feels like a normal story, but this is just such a breath of fresh air. Boundary defining wars passing like days, decades pass but little hints of him everywhere remain, and people he made special memories with always gone in the blink of an eye.

Thanks for the translation!

Yeah the sculpting interest stronger than the plans for seeing his son really came out of fucking nowhere. He barely expressed a little curiosity in statues before entering the forest one time and now it's overshadowing all of his plans for seeing Wynn or visting the dwarves? The fuck?
