I guess the problem is that the letters said everything is A-Okay! Aesir feels no sense of urgency knowing Wynn is also a long lived half elf, and he doesn't want to needlessly interfere in Wynn's life. Don't worry. He'll be that one dad that comes around once every hundredth Christmas.

Yeah the sculpting interest stronger than the plans for seeing his son really came out of fucking nowhere. He barely expressed a little curiosity in statues before entering the forest one time and now it's overshadowing all of his plans for seeing Wynn or visting the dwarves? The fuck?

I think in chapter 44 he saw the lakes party and was like "I want to preserve and sculpt my memories." which is a fine sentiment. The main issue is that according to Wynn's letters he's doing dandy and Aesir wants to treat him like an adult (elf adult at that). So in his mind a detour is fine.

Reading this always brings me back to Doctor Who, especially now that it's been on a nostalgia run and keeps bringing back old faces. The Doctor is in a similar "watching everyone around them die" position, but they also have a time machine and still refuse to go back after parting from companions. I always wonder how it feels to just know the world is moving on a faster pace than you are and having others pass so much in your lifetime. But with Aesir I love his positive outlook toward it all. He doesn't have a time machine and just moves forward. He also will go back to places and excitedly look toward the changes. I do hate that he wasn't able to go around the stalls, but I love that he's just glad to be back and experiencing he changes.

Also, is that foreshadowing? Is the endgame plot moving in the background. I wonder how the Titans prophecy/legends/stories will end up. Also, is there a chance that Aesir isn't from a different world but just our world was burnt down and the dragon wiped the board after humanity went too far (feels like we're going too far now)? As of now it just feels like Aesir is making buddies with all these legendary figures.

Yup it is a foreshadow and remember when salyx said that he wasn't the first to have memories before becoming a high elf ? that was basically the start of the foreshadowing as the southern continent was being conquerd by the human nation with the behind of them is a high elf with memories of earth (basically like our aesir mc).
what more he aim to destroy the world because unlike aesir who meet good people after leaving the forest this guy have a bad luck as he meet only the bad guys so he want to destroy everything and thought he killed his fellow high elf and since they can't use the spirit power against another high elf since they don't want to hurt the other high elf.
So in the end the high elf become useless except one which is his childhood friend and he not even tried to kill her even thought he already created the gunpowder and have firearm thought because of this the said childhood friend become despair of the world and proceed to ask the dragon to end it (A bit extreme if you ask me)
Aesir hear about this from the dragon (each continent has at least one dragon in it) and he ask if Aesir want the world to end which he denied so it end up with Aesir having a duel with this high elf thought funnily because aesir was not a normal high elf he has the advantage till the enemies high elf girl use cheat .
Thought in the end Aesir manage to defeat this high elf girl since he has the same cheat code as well, so they move to the new plan which is repopulate the southearn continent (as the dragon already burn it to the ground)

human, elf or dwarf was created in attemp to replica the race that creator make but because the beign which later on become known as god lack the power to create a perfect new race it bring inbalance to the world.
the reason they notice this because whenever human, dwarf, elf or any of the new species died they left something that will wreck the world which is why dragon burn the world to purified it.
The original race create by the creator is Spirit, giant, dragon, high elf, spirit, and finally a being that later on become known as god (the one who create the new species and human)
The reason god never appeared anymore because it was a punishment by the other race that they are not allowed to interact with the world until the creator wake up.
funnily enough the reason all the new race keep existing even thought the dragon supposed to burn the world is because the giant keep saving some of them before the dragon destroy the world it was this exact reason that the whole world only speak one language since it was the giant who teaching them the language not them creating a language on their own.

wish I could rate this an 11/10

Same, honestly. This story is amazing at capturing the very essense of the elves their long lifespan. They also capture how the elves are more peaceful, even if they are less organized than the Lord of the Rings elves. I also like how they have this natural affinity with the spirits, to the point that they are more powerful than any magic user due to their spirit communion. It fits, especially with how long they have to perfect their craft, even when they are not the most talented elves.
