ikr? in most of the story the mc will always win and this way is better because it's not just the writer sending the mc on a rocket towards OP.
And to be fair he's still the most OP character; it's just he's better and bringing earthquakes down on your city than he is dueling with swords.

So it is nice to see that he's not perfect in all things despite his long life.

Btw can anyone fix the desc? It has “Acer” instead of “Aesir” for MC’s name. I can’t flag it on the hub because of stupid captcha error.

Iirc Acer is how the JNovel Club translators spelled his name for the official English LN releases.

Just like Shirou say to Gilgamesh, no way he could win against the opponent that dedicated their life to hone their 1 skill. In MC case, while he indeed didn't neglect his sword training but he also did blacksmithing and there might be others thing that i can't remember. However, his opponent this time is dedicated his life and time to hone his sword skill. So its no surprise and satisfied outcome that MC lose his duel.

The description was copied directly from official translation by J-Novel. In this case it's the right word: back in his home forest he was called "Child of the Maple", and maple trees belong to genus Acer.
