@xyzzy since when is othello a particularly nippon board game? It's extremely international. If you want superior nippon katana steel board games made out of food (tm), then you should look at shogi, go and old maid.

Everyone knows the quintessential Japanese game is Pachinko. Even Nicolas Cage agrees.

@xyzzy In THIS instance, I'm not too surprised they are enjoying a new game. There were few things you could do for fun during the Medieval ages that wasn't an 'escort' or drinking games, so a brand new game you could play and be invested in for hours, all without a hangover and be consistent? I would be more surprised if no one got invested.

I assume the missing materials were snatched by his father to make more boards and send them to his friends?
Which means the mc gets no money for 'creating' the game they way they do in many other isekais.

are you sure to read the same thing as us?
since when did his father behave like that ?
and since when is someone able to go into his personal subspace? (the information is not old it dates from the previous chapter 4 days ago)

@Riger Everyone keeps asking him for the game so he used up all his supplies filling their requests. He'd probably have more if he just said no, but MCs are always pushovers.

Actually Othello wasn't invented by the Japanese.

But a Japanese businessman patented the current set or rules and design and it's really popular in Japan.

To be honest, with how he was laying in it the way he was, I didn't realize it was his subspace. I just thought it was a closet or storage area and they didn't paint in the background. It happens all the time in manga.
As to 'since when does he act like that?'... Since when does the sister? Or the mother? Its a very common trope that once an isekai mc introduces a game, everyone goes really weird over it.

I do not mean the sister and the mother, but the devilish father who steals and makes money on the back of his son
it does not look like what I read in this story

I was referring to how quickly they became obsessed. I didn't say the father made money, either. I said he passed out boards to his friends.
No one making money is still the main character NOT making money with the game.
Besides. It would be easy for the father to see it as 'the family making money IS the son making money'.

"I didn't say the father made money, either."
"I assume the missing materials were snatched by his father to make more boards and send them to his friends?

the fact is that it's a hell of a jerk you describe to us and that nothing in the story for now can make us think that
you have too many impure thoughts and it perverts your vision
it's good to have imagination, but in that case I think it hurts your reading experience

I love the irony in your 'imagination getting in the way' bull. Giving something away means no money is made, which you apparently can't see even though you quoted me.
I say a single word (snatched) and you claim I described 'a hell of a jerk' which somehow makes me 'impure'...
Your imagination is most definitely getting in the way right now. And you're obviously putting words on the page that just aren't there. I won't respond to any more of your comments, due to them being so out in left field and made up. And due to not being able to see them anymore.

I do not care if you read or not because it's not a private message
besides to see you rage and leave must be funny even for other people

I understand better, it's the father of the year that you describe.
it would not be rather than you know you're not right.

" Giving something away means no money is made" because he had done it to sell it? first new
you read too much isekai... and although it is likely possible that he will sell this game, that does not mean that he had planned to do that, even less with the game he had done for himself

""The protagonist, Inaka Yuuji, was ran over by a truck because his awareness was dulled from overworking.
“Ahー, with this I don’t have to work so much anymore. I want to spend my next life leisurely……” was the wish Yuuji blurted out, He met God and it was decided he will be reincarnated in the countryside of the other world. He became Alfred Slowlet, 2nd son of a countryside noble, will he be able to enjoy and leisurely spend his slow life in the countryside?""
it does not fit well with the image you have of him
noble son and does not want to do anything because work killed him
and your image is "he wants to work and make money because ??? he needs it perhaps ? ... but he does not say it yet"

What is up with the obsession with Reversi/Othello in isekai stories? I'm surprised they don't use go, which is Japanese origin.

it always screws me up because I keep thinking reversi is some other game and only know this one as Othello...
