The absolutely dumbest "innovation" ever to be transported to an isekai by a protagonist. Amazing.

What was that? Rolled omelette? The kind you find in a bento?

After "Superior Japanese Boardgame", here comes "Superior Japanese Cuisine".

@Naeddyr

Dont underestimate addiction to food. If you dont believe, look at what my country did to whole Africa continent using Indomie noodles. There is no saving them now

Well, omelettes are pretty good. Maybe he’s moving onto crepes next.
And yes, different foods and drinks can really take off depending on the people.
Is this the plot though? He sets new trends and the people become addicted?

Reversi was created by the english under the name Othello.
However i think Othello name died out and it became Reversi due to the lower IQ people have now a days, and reversi is easier to remember because your reversing your opponents chips.

@Kirin-kun its called a tamagoyaki
Its a traditional japanese egg omelette which is folded over itself many times and not just once like a European Omelette.

@Naeddyr Simple sure but at least it makes some sense. Figuring out how to do things isn't always easy after all. My only concern is over having to make new utensils just for this.

I don't bother cooking things that require more than a basic pan and pot. I mean i can make this with a normal pan so it seems kinda odd to have a special one for it.

@Merilirem yeah i can also make this one a circular frying pot, however, you have the sharp and uneven edges.
Its several degrees easier to do on a square frying pan, and the layers also become even thickness and not variable like you would have on a circular one.

@Merilirem the shape and texture of the specific type of omelet made like this in the square(should be more rectangular) type of pan is a little different than the typical omelet. it's not just about the square pan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Rk1ABFtoQ it's the recipe and technique used in making it.

but it doesn't HAVE to be a square pan, the square pans just make it a little easier
halfwayish through this video, they show using a round pan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLlLvhbivPs

@Sep10trion kind of? the plot is in the title "Slowlife" dude runs around living life how he pleases and makes some things from modern japan to make his life "easier" in the world, he is in now.

@aigomorla No, the game was created as Reversi in the late nineteenth century England. "Othello" is a variant that was developed in Japan in the 1960's, and the name ultimately became a trademark of the Mattel corporation.

Ahhh. Sometimes you just need a wholesome slice-of-life chapter to cleanse your mental palette.

Thank you for the release.

Aye, Certainly is a change of pace from the more gory series that get tags like horror and such.

@aigomorla I know what a Tamagoyaki is. It's just that he become a food messiah, just like these people were living in a dark age before knowing about Japanese food.

He should introduce Pizza and French Fries too.

Actually, yes. Tamagoyaki is a fairly recent invention just as Omuraisu is - like late 19th century. "Living in a dark age" is an exaggeration considering that these dishes only appeared pretty much at the end of Japan's period of industrial revolution.

Pizza and chips/fries/pommes has been around a century earlier (18th century) than those egg dishes.

Maybe you think those egg dishes are too mundane? They're not exactly easy to make, and are relatively tedious to do.
