Honestly I think people are blowing this arc out of proportion. Having read a ton of cliche harem its nice to see the have the will they won't just thrown out the window. Too many harem series spin its wheels for way to long and ultimately lead to nothing or the lazy oh they vaguely get together at the very end of the story. Could have it been handled better for sure but the story isn't just trash now because of this minor set back. Also I saw people call Lily dumb for not noticing him being mind controlled but did y'all forget Lily is not an adventurer she's a receptionist why would she know the tell tell signs of a Succubus charm. The only thing you can really get her on is her not realizing him acting weird but you can easily chalk that up to her being blinded by love and the immediate fear of losing him to someone else.
