When not on SD mode, he actually looks pretty good. Like that random handsome uncle you sometimes find during family vacation to your family's origin.

He can't be a virgin by this point, can he? Does the novella say anything about nighttime activity?

Old man is one hell of an Ikemen.

His photo single handedly bring most of the rich women from the capital lol

@Hjek098 Page 9 panel 3, second word bubble, is that how she speaks? Or are you missing an "are" somewhere?
"you're really a gentleman" or
"you really are a gentleman"
seem to fit better.

According to the raws so far, sadly nope.
Just to add on, the Maid probably is interested in joining the harem, sadly the plot brings him elsewhere.
Who knows, maybe future chapters might see her join him there.

I take issue with the tendency in Manga to treat "development" and city growth as an unambiguous good. It feels very... colonial. Nobody even bothered to ask the locals if they were okay with a group of strangers coming in and completely changing their community and whole way of life.
if I am not mistaken before the weak dungeon was found on the island there were no indigenous people living on the it so your comment about colonization feels forced and questionable furthermore it was a noble who had ownership of the island who moved people there the moment he found out about the dungeon only to immediately abandon it when it was deemed a money pit rather than a gold mine so really this feels more like rapid development of unsettled territory more than foreign invasion having said that it moves this into the question of invasive species contamination and I don't think anyone here is smart enough to question that subject at least not to my knowledge.

I had similar thoughts on the matter, but then I remembered that this island was literally uninhabited (unlike many other cases where it's only uninhabited in the sense of not being populated by anything besides future slaves natives) and the only ppl living on it atm were from the guilds initial attempt at making a dungeon-city before they found the mobs to be not worth the investment.

So they are at least not trampling on anyone but themselves, as they develop the island. And the question is only if they can manage to limit the exploitation of the island enough, that they do not kill their own island they are trying to live on. And if they fail, it is literally their own bed that they made themselves.

Even if they're not "natives" who have lived there for generations, they're still people that have built a community of their own through their hard work and dedication. I for one would be pissed if I spent years of my life working to build an idyllic tropical village with my friends and family, only for some rich city-types to roll in and turn it into a resort

Oh this arc, i think i hated most of the chapters from this arc and didn't help that raws were updating slower than what manga already was, so waiting 2-3 months on a shit cliffhanger wasn't it, at least latest raw moved on from it

Except they were just guild support personnel (although maybe not all were hired by the guild and instead took a gamble, they stil lwere the guilds support personel), and were entirely dependent on adventurers coming there, and the island becoming developed into a city. So they hadn't built an idyllic life. They were struggling and losing money, and very happy when mc brought the tourists they always intended to support.
