I'm not surprised by the island becoming the archduke's property as after all, the island was granted to the lord by the royal family so it can always be requested back. It's hardly a good look for the royal family to take the land of their vassals however. I wonder if he's sold the land or was simply forced to gift it. I feel like there should be some way to get recourse from the royal family at least, unless they're as corrupt and as abusive with their power as the archduke.

It's pretty brazen of the archduke to straight up attempt to rape guild employees and admit to having slaves. I hope that Roche and Lira have the sense to share this fact with the others. Their next step is obviously going to be to reveal the archduke's crimes. I also expect that the guildmaster will be replaced Perhaps he'll be found to have a hand in facilitating the archduke's crimes (I'm sure that's the reason he's funding the guild). I wonder if Girold is going to be arrested the whole time while the girls find the evidence or if he'll actually do something for his own sake. He appears to be considering to free himself from the guild and take some action. Moreover, he's already been demoted to this island, and now that it's the archduke's property, he's unlikely to stay.

I'm surprised Lira did not fight back; she basically has the same personality as Girold in that regard.

It's a bit disturbing to see everyone pandering to the archduke to this extent and Girold's arrest. Girold is governing the island, but this privilege was granted to him by the lord who has no interest in opposing the archduke, so I understand that the archduke is the authority but it's difficult to accept this kind of injustice and abuse of authority. It's incredible the archduke hasn't been stabbed by anyone yet, considering that he must have many victims.

In fact, it's Mr "of course he can do that" who personally kills him. Apparently, he has been secretly opposing that fatty for a while and was waiting for the opportunity to deal with him permanently, and he saw in that island the perfect chance to end him for good.

Yeah this just doesn't make any sense. Royal family or not how does he have funds to pay off the insane amount needed to cover all this. He is just pure incompetent and the people all know it. The royal family would be restricting him and cutting him off, no merchant would have anything to do with him as he provides nothing. The guild should also not care at all, him hurting the higher ups and forcing them to do what he wants, the adventurers would see being part of the guild as a risk, blatantly committing crimes.

Like really who is backing him. Who goes for him for support instead of the royal family. Is that who backs him, the king? If so the country is a revolution time bomb. It just doesn't make sense why everyone is sucking up to him at their own expense. Even if he funds the guild, they would for sure profit more not losing competent higher ups, as well as the female adventurers. He literally targets the highest ranks. Those are irreplaceable assets to the guild. Add in that he absolutely prays on the nobles as well means their wives and daughters are not safe. Like I get that he is a pos, that part makes some sense and works. But how he has so many connections and everyone serving him over the king, that just makes no sense.

As is its actively detrimental to rise up the ranks of any business or politics.
Now the problem with all this is , wtf is the author doing with all this. He just keeps cornering the MC more and more. But the MC despite being "badass" is a total beta who just accepts abuse and refuses to go for a relationship. Is that what this story is, the MC just being a cuck? What's needed is a revolt as with how cornered he just doesn't have another option. Or what is the kind going to swoop in and finally stop this? The author doesn't seem willing to let the MC actually rise up at all and wants to beat on him, so I don't think for a second the revolt will happen.

Worse yet, is the reason we keep seeing the girls abused because the author wants to draw those scenes but keep the MC a virgin? So he is finding excuses to have other characters do it instead. Is that all this is devolving into?

The way i see it ther is 3 option :
Option 1 : MC will just endure and keep fleeing ( wit a lot more characher this time ) .
low probability but not imposible , a lot of japanese work value tenacity against coruption more than karma for bad action ( personaly its infuriating , but the univers of this manga is not dark enougs to lead to this conclusion, even if it get axe )
Option 2 : MC go full revolution after this meatbag in pig skin try tu abuse one of the main girl and eventualy is clean of is "crime" by anoter royal , or independance of the island.
most likly , predictable but OK . ( personally not the best option because it left a artficial test of "why no one did it sooner" whis this kind of over the top evil character)
Option 3 ( The Machiavellian plot ) : close to option 2 but a royan INTENTIONALY let him ( pig man ) be free of doing a lot of evil thing , all of this for killing im themself , posibly in a race to the heir position or something similar. All of this to posibly gain the loyalty of the people pig man torture .
Very low probability, we didn't see a lot of lore around the high sphere of power , next chapter can still be a introduction of this kind of character ( with the bonus of lowering the pressure ) . It can be a good development for one more arc , the autor may have think of it but with the actual flow of the story we are near the end ( i dont KNOW its just my point of veiw ).

We probably see a flavor of Option 2 and a "Happy" Ending , open on a eventual retaliation of the gouvernement.

Not only that,it seems the King himself was going to deal with him as he arrives soon after he gets killed, also things seem to be going out of hand since if I am not wrong, the "veteran adventurer" is actually his sister and she had revealed herself when things were going badly.

I posted this last chapter, but here are the upcoming spoilers:

Gaspani being the piece of shit degenerate that he is, tries to rape Roche and Lira because he has a fetish for beastmen. Naturally, Girold comes to their rescue, and beats up Gaspani a bit. And as the trope usually goes, the guards come rushing in, Gaspani pulls the "I'm a noble" card and has Girold arrested. While imprisoned, the rest of the island protests Girold's unfair treatment. Eventually, they all demonstrate against Gaspani outside of the mansion. Alicia is determined to do whatever it takes to free Girold, even if it means killing Gaspani herself. At this point Christie, the "adventurer" that was on the island when Girold and Co. arrived, reveals herself to actually be royalty and demands that Gaspani let Girold go. Gaspani instead decides to order his men to attack everyone, including Christie. Big fight between Gaspani's men, the adventurers/townspeople, and naturally, Girold's harem owns all of Gaspani's men, until Gaspani uses lightning magic with a specially created ring. Small flashback to Girold's previous life, and Girold using a technique he knew previously, pretty much parries the lightning. At this point Girold finally gets to give Gaspani the beatdown we've all been wishing for. Sadly, it's not much. He removes the ring from his finger and throws Gaspani off the second story ledge to the ground. Having finally been cornered Gaspani kneels on the ground in front of Christie. Gaspani mentally snaps, and grabs a sword that was lying on the ground near him and intends to kill Christie himself. Gaspani charges at Christie but instead gets a sword through the back of his neck. Unfortunately, it wasn't Girold or one of the girls who gets to land the killing blow, but the main branch Guild Master, the old man who demoted Girold and sent him to the island in the first place.
So on the one hand, Gaspani finally got what was coming to him. Sadly, it wasn't Girold or any of the women he tried to assault, that got to put him down.

The problem I am having here is all options point to a ending, the author is just writing into a corner to much, and the recovery options are all very limited and none are particularly interesting. And its worrying how much they author seems to care more about showing the girls get molested than developing the MC's relationship. Its like he is so attached to keeping the MC a virgin with no sex drive, but wants to draw lewds. And it just in no way fits the MC. I am getting rather annoyed with the MC blocking himself constantly and the girls getting hit with NTR at every turn.
