kinda meh tbh
- summoning people from earth to probe them for knowledge, which they don't even do in a meaningful way (and which i guess will be completely forgotten from now on). could have skipped this completely and just summon people because they can choose blessings and we probably wouldn't lose anything.
- i kinda like the idea of a world = god's arena, with evil ones commanding dungeons and benevolent ones being de facto guild leaders
- expanding on that, we got an actually good idea from the author - actual recruitment and roping potential adepts to specific guilds. that was kinda fun and some politics, both inside the guild and between them, could be a nice addition to the story. can use it as plot hooks, can use it as comedic element, but we probably got this bait and switch with promises of power vs reality of brutal training later and this will be all of it.
- i liked adepts being in the thousands, but still essentially very powerful independent mercenaries that (at least for now) get proper recognition for their skills.
- lots of completely unnecessary info dumps/decisions that make no sense and serve no purpose. why is this planet so huge? what does it matter? why can't it just be "seemingly endless dungeons we are losing fight against"?
why did he train for 25 years? why have him age 25 years, if his appearance doesnt change (i know i know life magic slows down aging trivia), he doesn't learn absolutely anything other than his skill in these 25 years, and has the same same maturity as ~40-45 year old man as he had at the beginning (which is around ~13 anyway).
- worst part - mc is another typical pathetic beta, i was unloved my whole life and died like a dog, now i'll make slave harem and make them love me!
i wouldn't mind it if his reason to start/continue training was to make insane amounts of money and buy enough baddies with a sad history to switch a girl each nut and not have to repeat a pussy for a month.
i'd probably like it a lot.
i wouldn't mind it if his reason was finding pure love, or being acknowledged, or world domination, or whatever else - just don't make him so pathetic. even worse, 25 years in, he is still clinging to that. this shouldn't be there, and if it already was, should have been used to rope a dumb teenager to sign up and then dropped. it wasn't, so lets hope it will be dropped in ch2.
