People lack knowledge when it comes to human behavior. Tons of people that can be manipulated is actually alot than you think. We may be the most intelligent creature on this planet but we are also complex creatures bound to desires and emotions.
Religion is one primary example. Politics is another but a much complex system unlike religion.
under normal circumstances, what Hannah did is illogical. However, there are factors that we lack information on, like their world and common sense. A talking baby being able to understand you is already illogical itself. Under that pretense, a common maid cannot ask help from a noble and moreso, a baby. It's a world with hierarchy, and commoners in fictional settings usually act this way because they know their place (or simply puts a barrier between the poor and the rich).
I do live in a place where poverty and the rich can coexist but it's not like those that I have read. If anything, it is worse. The poor parents use kids to beg on the streets or even sell them to foreigners not to feed themselves but to gamble, do drugs, or drown on their desires. The rich takes advantage by making the poor do dirty jobs or even use them for content (vloggers). It is the point of no return so not even the government can do anything, except capture such people but there will be another unfair treatment behind that. Which is another story so this will just keep going on and on if I continue.
TL;DR
In my POV, Hannah's behavior is actually another normal behavior to me that can happen irl. Stupid, illogical, despicable, or whatever. It can happen. It isn't wrong to hate her for it. It isn't wrong to pity her for it and blame the ones behind it either. Because I have seen people react the same way irl.
