Jeez, y;all. Hannah was 15 and desperate. How often did you fully think things through at that age? Not gonna be pressing F to pay respects, but I do feel bad that she got merc'd by ghosts.

@TyUni being 15 is no excuse for kidnapping babies... fuck the "she's only X years old" argument. if she had slaughtered MC's family would you still say "she's 15 guys, shill"?

Im sorry but i feel nothing for hannah. If anything, she deserved it. Yeah she's fifteen and rash but that little stunt could've and did cost them both their lives.

Some people around here are really lacking om empathy...😐

Sad chapter. Hannah didn't deserve to die and the little girl will likely spend years before seeing her family again.

In my opinion, Hannah is a naive 15 year old girl who got tricked. I won't say she deserved to die because of her mistake. But, she deserved to pay the consequences of it.
Looking back at the chapter, she did mention something along the lines of "THE YOUNG MISS WILL BE OKAY WHEREVER SHE WENT, BECAUSE SHE HAS SPECIAL EYES"

It shows the she did hold a certain bias and dark thoughts toward the young miss.
She regretted it at the end. But, I'm just saying that if she really did love her young miss and was loyal to her absolutely. She would've asked for help from the staff, specifically the butler.
Seeing that the one who hired her was the butler

But she didn't, instead she had undergone a lucrative deal with the bad guys because of her naivety.

In conclusion, she didn't deserve to die, but she did have to receive the consequences of her actions, which UNFORTUNATELY led to her death in the process.

The barrier scene was very well drawn. It really conveyed the idea of the "air" changing.

Also, adding to my earlier comment. Hannah did have the opportunity to try hand the young miss over to her father during the chase.
Heck! If she really was regretful she could've atleast tried jumping out of the basket (seeing how they easily got out of the basket after they crossed the frontier)
Then, the whole family separation wouldn't have happened

It was an unfortunate death of 15 year old girl.
That left a hell lot more of chaos to ensue because of her actions and lack of intellect to take action when it really mattered (such as the choice of handing over the young miss to kidnappers and the "couldve handed over the young miss chase incident"

I rest my case.

Under a fair system of justice, kidnapping wouldn't result in the death penalty, but wow she's foolish to think that she and the child wouldn't end up dead after being kidnapped. (I mean really, who would expect kidnappers to do better than a fair system of justice?)

Being a 15 year old can excuse some things, but kidnapping someone goes way beyond any of that.

And in spite of Leila's delusions, Hannah wasn't even blackmailed. She was pressed, but she had other entirely viable options.

Now, as for these random wanderers. They are giving up waaay too easily on returning this girl. Seriously, just send someone to listen for news, find out who she is (they even have a name), and then drop her off in the middle of the night and vanish if they're worried about being mistaken. We already know there's a huge stretch of unguarded border they can cross.

thank fuck the bitch died. I have 0 tolerance for stupidity and child endangerment. She kidnapped the kid and was going to hand her over to people who will make her a slave most likely and that's the child endangerment part. The stupidity part is that if she came clean with the MC's dad, he could've probably pulled some strings to help her going along with the plan that will endanger her brother either way. Did she think they would let her and him go after her being a witness to the kidnapping and knowing too much?
Dumb bitch got her right punishment

Yeah, Hannah absolutely deserved punishment (I'm not talking your typical teary eye apology with a little slap, I'm talking actual severe jail time) but death goes to far and doesn't fit the punishment. Also, I hope the author doesn't think that Hannah sacrifice redeems her as a character and makes her some sort of hero. None of this would have happened if she was upfront about her problems to the nobles, something could have been worked out about her sibling. Yes, she was naïve and later regretful about what she did but she could have made all things right by at least trying to jump out of the basket like you mentioned eve. Her stupid and naïve actions has cause a father/family to lose their love one. She had opportunities in making things right, but she didn't. I don't condone Hannah's death but fuck her for stealing the FMC from a family that loved her. I don't care what sob story Hannah has, especially when she had the chance to make things right. Again, she didn't deserve death but she deserved a punishment that fits the crime (jail time, not a teary apology and a slap). I think even those who are more sympathetic to Hannah would agree with that.
