The way the manga is written is… weird. Her feelings could be very easily infered by her backstory, but the author had to show us her inner monologue just to make sure we understand.
That's just a consequence of manga as a medium, there will be bodies pushing to include monologues to explain everything clumsily.

If only the Father just talked to his damn Daughter instead of assuming what would make her happy. If only the Daughter talked to her Father about what she wanted to do. It sounds like the Father genuinely wanted her to be happy so this almost certainly would have worked, smh.

Well...

There's a page missing between 5 and 6 showing other nobles raising the idea that maybe they too can just replace the four lord and then absolutely fail to even fill a magic stone.

:pepehmm: so...back to work you go...
Can you send it to me I can't seem to find it or am I blind

Pretty standard flashback dump, but this lady is middle-aged with 2 kids of her own. She's supposed to be super gifted, but she has the mental fortitude of an insecure teenager.

But he was right in the end. She's clearly miserable, and she can't even enjoy her time with her 2 daughters. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

thats the thing though, sadly being "gifted" doesn't lead to mental fortitude.

When do you become stronger mentally? Its when you fail, face set backs, get hurt and get back up again. Which is easiest to do when your a child because with a good family your family is there to pick you up, comfort you giving you the strength to try again.

When you lived your life free from setbacks or finding that you are right or better usually? Well you think that you can do no wrong and if your miserable or things don't go the way you want it to? "Of course its other people's fault, not mine, I'm always right after all"

It's a petty reason for treason, but I suppose I would lose my mind too if I had grown men who could be my father bullying me and undermining me while I try to do my job just because I'm a woman.

And if I remember right, isn't it well known that the four lords have shorter lifespans, they can never leave the boundary of the kingdom or the capital really, they have to constantly supply power to the kingdom's shield, they're always a target for kidnapping and assassination etc....are the other nobles really jealous of that life?

I guess being a noble, she's shielded from other responsibilities we associate with maturity that inherently foster them like looking after a household, raising a family, a full time job. Not like they have therapists to cry to either.

Anyone else thinking that Angie is showing signs of being the strawman-portrayal of the Ann Rynd protagonist syndrome?

AKA, on that Sigma grindset
