This was such a ride. It's rare that you see a manga where nearly all of the characters are fleshed out with flaws and all. This is definetly one of my most favorite shounen, and to be honest, it's way too underated and kept me at the edge of my seat at times. Hidden gem this was!!

Ngl this was a good read, however there's no denying the MC is a POS that has a heavy comeuppance coming to her along the way.

IMO there's no way to redeem Natsuo unless she gets badly injured by someone she bullied and humiliated several times in the story with no consequence coughs Ganeko*coughs*.

I'd love to see Ganeko land a combo that opens with a jab in a Natsuo's range , then follows with a low kick to high kick feint (that very same thing Natsuo did to her)

Then a palm strike to the jaw followed by a takedown feint to spinning back elbow to the face and a sweep.

Then she'd tell her to get up and keep damaging her legs with mean kyokushinkai oblique kicks to the tall bitch's knee.

TLDR;

Justice for Ganeko.

That was hella wild. I wonder if MC was born with something, theres a bit of a hint she doesn't have the best social skills and never seemed to grasp it.

I would've liked to see how it would of gone with eyebrows more if she really would break down but eh. Not bad!

Nah it's a dream bro, she really has a damn shitty family.
I would agree with you if it weren’t for the fact that the only reason why we’re getting this understandably rushed ”ending” is because the author got sick
The ending isn't rushed, it's only because you know author couldn't continue further that you'd think that.

It's clearly noticeable that the ending was chosen to be like this, yes it's because author knew he'd be sick and wouldn't be able to continue drawing. Mad respect for that man having the vision and the heart to pull out a clean stop to a story he probably wanted to carry on writing a lot longer than this.

If you were to say that the story is rushed backstory-wise, because you'd like to have an explanation as to why her family members are so estranged and even mean to her for example, or you'd just like to witness more of their reactions to mc's tournament (I'd like that at least,) then there's nothing stopping it from coming in the following chapter from this one.
Meaning, it's a good closure. Author didn't give you their reaction or more backstory, you'd just have to imagine it, and there's nothing stopping you from doing that, author gave you all the tools.

For the main story, everything is resolved now, so it's not rushed here either :p

I mean, didn't it occur to you that this could have been because of her upbringing? No one is born socially awkward, you develop social skills while growing up.

Yeah true, I would've liked to see her breaking character, I can only imagine it now! x)

Dude, if the reader has to make basically make fan fiction for the story to complete its plot points it wasn’t properly finished.

We never get to see how the MC overcomes her trauma and toxic home environment. Or if she even decides to leave it. How someone like her affects the professional female fighting space. We never get to see if her mma rival ever truly finds someone with the same mentality as her or if her childhood enemy ever finds purpose outside of a life long beef. We never get to find out if her coaches get to settle their scores with their own rivals. We never get to see how the author intended for the female fighters to really break into the inuniverse main stream long term. And this is all just off the top of my head! Resolved my ass.

If you are satisfied with the ending that’s perfectly fine and I respect that. And I agree to disagree but straight up lying about what happened is silly at best. For me not much about this is satisfying as a series ending but as I said, it’s understandable that the ending was rushed. I’m not mad at an author for getting sick and prioritizing their health.

Every heard of an open ending? That's pretty much what you described as "not properly finished."
If you can't imagine for yourself how you would've liked things to go, then yeah, it's understandable you don't like the ending develpment. But if I had to insist on the terminology, the ending is totally valid and not rushed.

You can dislike it though, that's totally natural. I don't like it 100% either, but I still think it's good, whatever unresolved plot would be left.

I'm not trying to disagree to disagree here as you can see, I just thinking you're using the incorrect word out of affect, even though your previous message didn't show if you disliked the ending or not.

And I also don't see where I'm lying about what happened in my previous message.
