This was the first of his gag mangas I've read. Surprised how many of these he did, most of them were collected in 3 volumes in 2020-2023, as most of this stuff was lost in the mist of times in various weekly/monthly magazines. Terror Train has one more gag manga that is possibly even more bizarre then this one.

I have no yet gone down the rabbit hole of uncollected Hino works. I've done it with other artists (Kago, for example) and it can be as exciting as it tends to be expensive if you want to actually get your hands on those "hidden" gems.

I ordered those 3 Hino collections, of course. I've been completely focused on the plethora of ebooks of his work that are available and haven't bothered to search for new physical releases in a couple years. Obviously that was a mistake.

I love that this guy has multiple bizarre origin stories for himself. I'm starting to get a proper sense of his goofy grotesque sensibilities and I quite enjoy them.

The magazine Shoujo Friend: Suspense & Horror is FULL of those. Horror M had a short series that included a oneshot called Gomi-Baba. I believe this is one of the few Horror M works of his that are unavailable.

Just kidding, I really appreciate the info. It's kind of amazing that even such established, successful and well-known artists like Hino can have uncollected works floating around.

You'd be lucky to find someone selling these issues lol. I think Shoujo Friend ones are easier to find but they are mostly auctions
