I disagree. We now know explicitly that she was exploiting Lin Luxi instead of just assuming that’s what she was doing in the past, and that that was still the kind of relationship she wanted in the present. So there’s definitely no possibility that she’s changed or realised her feelings or repressed or anything that might possibly “complicate” matters. She is an out and out villain, not a misunderstood childhood friend. Because we all know how much yuri fans love the sidelining of childhood friends who love the mc don’t we?

Plus the story is ongoing. How someone can make judgements like that in the middle of a story is beyond me. Obviously Bai Yan will have a role to play and clearly knowing about a characters psychology has its purposes. This story isn't going to turn into porn, with just sex scenes.

But anyway, our girl has been collared and we have lots of sweet panic to witness, so we have to remain focused. Wonder where it'll go from here and we still have the mom's story to get to.
